I’ve been a little underwhelmed by the options of legendary weapons for the thief class
I use a SB and switch between D/D, P/D, and D/P depending on what I’m doing or my mood. Incinerator (the dagger) is pretty cool but other than that I’m unimpressed with the look of legendary weapons, Dreamer (bow) and Quip (Pistol) are Girly/Silly. I’m a guy and I play a male character so those 2 don’t work for me. The sword is cool as well but I don’t play with a sword so……. I’m NOT whining about it (I can always make a Legendary for a different character) Just sharing my opinion and wondering what others are thinking.

I think legendary weapons don’t worth effort at all. First of all, they all look horrible and completely off. Secondly, their stats are not that much different from WvW weapons.
Just to compare:
Quip(Legendary pistol) damage 890-1044, 91 power, 65 toughness, 65 vitality. Costs a lot of stuff that you have to grind and collect for several months.
Invader’s pistol(WvW pistol) damage 876-1028, 90 power, 64 toughness, 64 vitality. Costs only 264 Badges of Honor.
So you basically need to punish yourself and collect so much stuff for the weapon that has only 16 more cap damage and +1 more to stats than the weapon that much easier to get.

Well, one only gets legendary weapons for the look. I haven’t see any myself, but apparently they have some crazy graphics that are adequately represented by any previews.

Legendary weapons are only the skin. They have the same stats as the exotic weapon they are made out of.

However I agree with you blackgoat about them not being particularly interesting for a thief. Particularly compared to the absolutely spectacular greatswords.

@Vhalantru well mate according to GW2 wiki you are not quite correct the Legendary Short Bow the Lover, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Lover, has totaly different stats to its legendary counterpart The Dreamer, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Dreamer
So they are not just skin differences at the moment at all. The amount of info on Legendary’s atm is sketchy at best and and certain sites, ie: GW2DB is using a lot of data from beta testing which is now incorrect. A confirmed compilation or guide is desperately needed at this point in time to save many people confusion.

Legendary shortbow and pistol look so terrible, but whats the big deal? Who needs them when you can have Crucible of Eternity shortbow and pistol, those look amazing

I consider it a good thing that I have zero interest in legendary weapons in this game. I can’t imagine wanting to do even one component of that craft (or even get 1 craft to 400 let alone 2)

As mentioned above, Legendary weapons are only for the looks, not stat-advantages.

If you don’t like how they look, then you’re better off sticking with regular gear.

Whatever floats your boat! there are plenty of skins in this game, use what you like! broaden your horizons!

Also, you don’t have to be a woman playing a female character to like Dreamer / Quip. I would make Dreamer myself just because I think its hilarious. =P
