Thieves might need a bit of something
I think thieves are pretty much supposed to be the anti-caster. That is the paper to our scissors, where heavy plated folks are our rock. The great thing about this rock-paper-scissors game is that it is possible for a paper to outduel a scissor, and for a scissor to outduel a rock.
A smart thief will know which target is the best to target and slaughter, followed by a quick exit from combat. You spelled out all of the reasons why your post is premature: you are new to PvP and everyone around you is relatively new to PvP. There are plenty of skilled players out there that would wipe the floor with you, regardless of their class.
In short, I think your post was reactionary in nature. You had a stint in PvP, did fairly well in the situations you were in, and claimed OP. Surely you can see why this is silly.
Well I manage to take down guardians and warriors as well… Well maybe it is silly, but a guildy of mine is a mesmer and claims that thieves are the only prof he can’t take down and that they are too easy to play.
So tried to prove him wrong, but ended with some good game… That being said we might just have had a good team, cause we turned the tide several times and actually ressed each other:)
And if you play enough thief you’ll notice mesmers, engineers and warriors that willkittenyou without much chance to retaliate.
Luckily I don’t run into many of them. They’re mostly in WvW following zergs. But yes, elementalists are just easy targets.
was this in hot joins or tourney? when you are making claims about a class being op or up, did you consider more than just 1v1ing nubs?
i dont want anything, other than my abilties to work.
flanking strike pathing, infiltrator’s arrow/strike, and other similar abilities that fail 90%.
