I understand that there is already a dev that plays a thief, but I can tell that he isn’t as dedicated to the profession as some of us want him to be (because he is in the mesmer forums alot, no hostility towards him).

After a year of providing advice to noobs who keep getting wrecked by this profession, I am tired of getting shot down. After nearly 2 years of getting shot down, I am tired of trying to find better ways to remind them that they are scrubs (and getting infracted for hurting their egos further).

Its about high time that this forum gets a dev that TRUELY nolifes on their thief that they are TRUELY passionate about. One that isn’t afraid of the thieves that they associate with and their harsh criticisms and overtrolling. A developer who isn’t reluctant to get on all these rage threads and tell these players that what happened to them was an intended mechanic of the profession (or w/e).

But mainly, the thief community needs someone to vouch for us. And not someone who is doing it because it’s their job but because they understand how the profession they love works and busts their kitten to make sure that it is enjoyable for everyone.

Either that or give me a job and I’ll do it lol :P

But seriously, I appreciate that there’s a lot of posts/stuff to do etc, but we hardly ever see a dev down here. The most recent post I can see by a dev was on the increased ini cost pistol whip 3 months ago.

If you are here more often, just wave in a chat somewhere every now and then or something, remind us you exist :P

We’re a pretty annoying sub forum, I imagine they intentionally avoid us among others. I bet they look at us once in a while like a business card in the back of a wallet.

This post isn’t wasting anything lol. There is plenty of time and space to post this concern because quite frankly, everyone is afraid to post on the thief forums (debatable concerning devs and mods). They know this forum will rip them apart so instead of trying to place posts in the appropriate section they go to the Profession Balance forum to gain support.

Notice how I didn’t say discuss.
