Thoughts on my Condition damage PvE build?
1)Drop Hide in Shadows, get Signet of Malice. It’s PvE and caltrops heal you for a lot with the Signet.
2)I’d rather get D/D for Death Blossom over Shortbow, but that might be a matter of preference
3)Those traits in Deadly Arts are kinda wasted with this build. Looks like the sole reason to get them is 20% condition duration. Look into the Acrobatics line for some great alternate trait investment…
4) I don’t really get the point of all that initiative gain stuff, you have going on. To simply CnD off creeps, you don’t need initiative gain. Initiative gain on heal with HiS means 4 initiative every 30 seconds. What for? If you need initiative, dump 20 into Acrobatics. Also, get the blind on stealth trait over 2 initiative on stealth. AoE blind > 2 initiative, unless you do D/P, which you don’t.
5)While your runes are ok(not that overwhelming), I don’t quite agree with your (not-)sigil choice. Drop some bleed duration there(Sigil of Agony). If you go for an alternate melee set(D/D) instead of dual range, get Sigil of Geomancy. It’s cheap as dirt(pun intended) and got some nice, long lasting burst AoE bleed.
6) Again, on bleed duration: Most of your bleeds got a baseline duration of 3-4 seconds, so to get another tick, you need at least 30% duration increase.
Giver’s Weapons might also be worth a look, tho they are expensive :>
Else, get runes. I wouldn’t get more than 30% increase tho, as this is PvE and you can stack up to the bleed cap anyway, while there’s hardly any removal.
7) Signet of Shadows? Speed is everything in PvE. Killing stuff is easy, the most time is wasted on getting to points, so get that speed increase. Drop that venom for it. If you feel the need to poison foes, look at Sigil of Doom.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.

Just be careful in dungeon settings with condi thief. It excels in general PvE content but in dungeons, especially if there are other members that can stack bleeds, the utility of any condi toon drops significantly.
The biggest issue you are going to have in a build like this is mob control AoE. The best thing you will have is SB, but in my experience that’s not enough in places where you’re dealing with waves and waves of mobs.

- I agree with the initiative regen, you don’t need that much regen for a build like this.
- I agree with not getting venom or pumping points into poison duration or deadly arts for a build like this. I don’t sPvP much but poisoning in PvE has almost no utility since most mobs don’t heal themselves.
- You may want to replace the venom slot skill with a stun breaker like shadow step, especially because the way this build is you have 0 ways of removing condi outside of heal skill.
