Thoughts on new/abnormal thief build?
lvl 80 pvp build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fYQQNAoYVlUmaPHfS6E/5EB3DmaUn6VAsdPuqWtKA
for some reason wouldnt let me post it with the runes saved :s But i planned on using monk runes for the aegis and +healing and a mix of vit/tough/pow/prec upgrade stones
You can make it work for sure, but only with condition runes&amulet. It would take some changes thou.If you are ok with condition thief we can discuss.

Im sorta glad you brought that up actually, at first i figured id need some way to deal damage, so i turned to conditions, i’d prolly have to go back into pvp and try some things out, but any tips for making it balanced? I’d like to be able to be able to heal and keep my friends alive or at least prolong them while dishing out decent damage when im given the oppourtunity or they just plain dont need me.
Well it is sorta generic. You have zero deadly arts and zero critical strikes.
What don’t crit and aren’t affected by power?
What can deal damage while you are in stealth?
Bleeds.
Actually deadly arts affects bleed duration, but i figured out that prolonging the duration is not as good as increasing the strenght of the ticks.People are learning
to cure bleeds and you might wanna shorter but more powerful ticks.
So zero deadly arts isn’t to bad, exept you lose the poison from Steal.
I would suggest Caltrops trick, caltrops on dodge, endurance regen on dodge, might on dodge(might affect bleeds).Change elite to Dagger Storm,Shadow Refuge is OK.
Edit:You will not heal your teammates so much, exept once 30 sec(you aren’t guardian sorry),but you will be able to kill and die hard.

Sounds about what i had when i was running condition/healer, saving up for dagger storm atm, one of the things i was torn on was whether to go d/d or p/d for the build, Db is a great evasive move, but the stealth attack for pistol is great for stacking. Whats your take on weapon sets with this?
Well i run both D/D and P/D.I stay as D/D while i can afford to DB+C&D.Once i run out of initiative,i change to P/D and play only C&D+Sneak Attack until i regen enough initiative. Then rinse and repeat.

Ahh, makes sense, better to save the bow for wvw wheres its prolly most useful, d/d with p/d seems to make the most sense, thanks for the tips
Well the bow have poison aoe and bleeds from cluster and also great InfArrow.
However i found myself not running from anyone anymore.I just feel safer near a target to C&D at any time. This kind of gameplay is ment to stay and slowly kill the target/s while going in/out of stealth near him and slowly regen your own hp.That ruled out the Short Bow and put in place C&D in every hand. Thus D/D P/D.

Just one suggestion: from a support perspective, applying boons to all allies is a big deal, so in your trickery line, take Thrill of the Crime (V) instead of Flanking Strikes (IV). Fury and I believe Mightx5 is a very nice boon, and applying it to every ally near your target can net a kill. Swiftness is icing on the cake, and can even allow for an ally’s speedy retreat.
You do lose out on the flat 5% damage boost, but since your build doesn’t seem to be focusing on direct damage anyways, it doesn’t seem like a huge loss.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.
