Can you please trade “Thrill of the Crime” and “Master Trapper”.
They are both minor traits, but thrill of the crime makes more sense as an acrobatic trait, and traps make more sense as a Trickster Trait.
Most Traps are condition based, so why would they be in the trickster tree?
Thrill of the Crime makes more sense in the acrobatics tree, it benefits from Boon Duration and it grants “swiftness.”.
They are also both “V” Traits as well.

Traps are… trick-ish~~ and only one does condition damage. Trickster also revolves around Steal so Thrill is in the trait line involving steal cooldown. ;/

Ahh Daecollo, I’m really beginning to appreciate these topics of yours lol. I think they should just rename it, if your reasoning holds true.
Imo all trap related traits belong in trickery and trick related traits belong in acrobatics. You only need to look at the skills to see where they belong. With the exception of caltrops and Scorpion wire, tricks are all acrobatic in nature.

Exactly!
Imo all trap related traits belong in trickery and trick related traits belong in acrobatics. You only need to look at the skills to see where they belong. With the exception of caltrops and Scorpion wire, tricks are all acrobatic in nature.
- Roll for Initiative: You tumble backward, slipping out of snares and regain initiative.
- Haste: A quick burst of speed that leaves you exhausted
- Scorpion Wire/Caltrops: Not necessarily acrobatic but still, neither are traps.
Well, Thrill of the Crime gives three boons, all of which deserve to be in the tree that gives boon duration, doesn’t it? lol
I agree. I’m not disputing your suggestion, I think thrill of the crime belongs in acrobatics, along with 20% reduction to tricks and bountiful theft. I also think that master trapper and all trap related traits in the acrobatics line belong in the trickery line.
Nooooo! Then I wouldn’t be able to run my current 30 in Acro + Thrill of the Crime
But in all seriousness, I get where you guys are coming from.
Actually I’d like a system where you could pick 7 minor and 7 major traits, regardless of tree, and build from there.
A bit like the “pick 10” system from CoD.
Disagree. Ruins the synergy of my build :P

How?
How?
While I agree that a boon-based trait should be in the boon duration traitline, it’s more of a Steal trait than anything. That’d put it in the Trickery line.
I run P/D condition build with Apothecary armor, Undead runes, and Carrion jewels.
10/0/30/0/30. It’s a bit more common to run 10 in Acrobatics instead of the 10 in DArts, but the Poison upon Steal (when combined with the 30 in Trickery) makes that initial opponent heal off the Mug/Sneak Attack a giant waste of a heal.
To the point: I run with Thrill of the Crime and Bountiful Theft as 2 of the traits in the Trickery line with the the line maxed out. Sure, they could be moved, but that’d decrease effectiveness as they’d be on a much longer Steal timer. I prefer quicker Steals, more C&D Mugs with Poison (Serpent’s Touch trait) and Sneak Attack over making TotC get a couple second boost in duration. Plus it’d take away from condition damage if I had to trait it in another line.
Just how I see it, at least.
Trickery is a very frontloaded, steal-focused line. Thrill of the Crime is honestly the trait that makes the most sense to have in Trickery.
Master Trapper works in either line, as does Merciful Ambush. They’re both tricks, and they’re both mobility focused. The T1 trait that would make the most sense to move is Uncatchable, which I presume they won’t to avoid stepping on popular builds.
I agree there’s a good argument for moving Master Trapper to Trickery, but I don’t see a good argument for moving Thrill of the Crime to Acrobatics. If anything, you really should argue for flipping Master Trapper with Trickster (and renaming as necessary), which I would endorse whole-heartedly.

Thrill
A sudden feeling of excitement and pleasure: “the thrill of jumping out of an airplane”.
Acrobatics is the performance of extraordinary feats of balance, agility, and motor coordination.
Thrill and Acrobatics go well together.
Now lets see, Thrill of the Crime grants Swiftness, Fury, Might.
Might = Strength or ability to do something, this can also go well with acrobats, because they have the ability to be acrobatic.
Fury = Does not fit well with trickery, or acrobatics.
Swiftness = Self Explanatory, you need to be swift to be an acrobat.
Might, Fury, Swiftness to not go well with trickery at all, trickery is basicly tricking someone, like planting a trap to catch them offguard. (which makes the -20% to traps make sense.)
