We all do, and we did have it. During beta the shadow arts trait shadow protector actually provided protection. It was nerfed and changed to regen instead. So dont get your hopes up

We are the squishiest class and can’t get protection.. And people wonder why thieves abuse stealth.

It sure feels like we’ll be getting protection at some point. Once stealth is nerfed sufficiently (in anet’s eyes). I don’t want it though, I’d prefer we stay hard to pin down, low health but big damage.

Protection on thrill of the crime isn’t very likely – even if it was, it wouldn’t be the same duration (base 10s on an ability that can be traited down to 21s is kind of crazy).

I agree the single stack of might is a little underwhelming however. Regen is the only other boon that really fits though – Prot, stability and retal for 10s would be too strong, and aegis isn’t really worth it or fitting.

If you’re a thief and haven’t
pre-ordered HOT at this point,
save yourself the money and don’t bother.

We havent seen that trend thus far and stealth has seen the start of a phase out… from increased revealed timers to the next patch where rangers will get a reveal debuff on Sic Em to traps in WvW designed specifically to uncover a thief…. and what has thief seen in compensation? Lower damage on most of our abilities, nerfs to some of our most important skills (can we say Bask Venom?), loss of crit ability to mug (granted a life steal was added… but it is so tiny as to make no real use).
No, I do not think you will see significant increases in a thieves ability to survive a fight… i think you will see Thief phase out as stealth goes the way of the dinosaurs.
