Ive been running almost exactly the same build for a while now and after trying a d/d condition and a s/p power build i found this build very much to my liking. Especially for wvwvw as i like to scout around and pick off small groups.

The only difference is that i use Hidden Assassin for the 100% crit chance from stealth. Since most of my dmg comes from backstab i choose it over Executioner. Also this allowed me to sacrifice some precision for toughness. I use a full berserker armor set with ruby orbs and 3 pieces of berserker jewels and 2 beryl ones.
And recently ive started using pow/vit/tough daggers instead of berserker ones, and while i do notice a slight decrease in dps, survivability has increased considerably.
Since i like to move through zergs downing people this has helped me a lot even when im being focused.

This is easily one of the more fun to play builds for a thief since it revolves around stealthing – one of the main reasons why people even play a thief.

0/30/30/10/0 isn’t anything new alot of people run that. Im all for new builds but to call the other builds out there over hyped and over used is kind of unnecessary. The last brand new builds or not known about builds will be something involving S/P. There are S/P builds out there but something that is really really good that makes people want to try it. Other than that pretty much all the other builds or supposed new builds are really old builds with a trait changed or a sigil or a utility. Not downing your build but it isn’t anything new really.

This is not a new build… at all. I use pretty much the same one, but with hidden killer and the 25% speed boost signet instead of smoke screen, which isnt as useful in wvw. It’s a great build, but calling it ‘the way thieves are meant to be played’ hints at your god-complex. Saying it is a new and innovating build entirely is just ignorant.

I’d advice you to use the two init on stealth trait over the 20% deception when going wvw.

As has been said before, this is nothing new. It is a very good build but “Been there, done that.”

Also, you might want to tone down the arrogance a little bit. Your advice may have started out with good intentions but in the end, came out more like a gloat. Just sayin’.

I also prefer Hidden Killer though, it’s just such an awesome trait, and I prefer a few soldier trinkets and weapons cuz simply never dying while enemies drop like flies around you is a wonderful feeling.

Hmm. I wish the OP would not have deleted his/her post. It had good info for new thieves despite the somewhat “holier than thou” tone.

Where is the new part? I loled at this post.
And uh, going in full berserker + 10 point in vit trait? What is your hp pool? 11k? 12k?
