So I’m in this dilemma, I have this human thief who I currently have in tier 2, slowly working towards t3( i know a lot have it but I find medium armor lacks), I have one ascended accessory to get and he’s pretty much maxed. He has a valk set and a zerk set and a pieces of knights at his disposal. Currently working on putting divinitis in the valk and all I really need is one more dagger and one more pistol and I can run any combo (3 daggers for s/d and d/d)

To some its not that much work, a lot of players have this much on multiple toons.

I recently started playing wvw a lot and man, when I run into asurans(especially thiefs) it just wows me. Their like little ninja’s and if their in a small group, no way can i pinpoint him out for a backstab or anything.

The animanitions are very small so seeing cnd coming is a lot harder. I really feel like making one.

Any thiefs here re-roll an asuran and feel a little more trickier? I know it sounds lame but their pretty cool to me.

Also, any asuran thiefs have a legendary, thats my only concern really. I’m working on incenerator and I’m a little worried I’m going to be let down with the weapon since itll be so small. I mean we all get a legendary so we can enjoy it right?

You know you don’t need to do that, right? Equip sword main and dagger main. Put one dagger in one off-hand set. Switch sets, off-hand dagger stays while main weapon switches.

About animation . . really cool, but honestly I never tried another race.
About weapon size . . . really bad, the weapon size is a joke, even more with pistols and daguers.
If you are the person that loves weapon and armor skins design don’t go asura . . . tooooooooo small.

You have to remember that C&D animation is also a huge visual clue, for yourself, to know where and when you are going to hit it. As an Asura thief, you won’t have that as you’ll be guessing (that includes the range, as visually it a weapon won’t connect with those tiny arms and tiny weapons). Also remember that almost everyone has WvW settings extremely low and animations are often tuned low as well, so the animations for e.g. C&D aren’t even distinguishable from a random different attack. And finally, almost nobody has the brain to actually get out of a C&D using a roll or teleport and when they do, it’s usually just part of their routine instead of a reaction.

My Asura thief has the skins of a random level 25 armor, because literally every piece of armor is absolutely horrible looking on an Asura. Getting a weapon skin makes no sense either, we can barely see them at all (especially in the case of daggers and pistols). Hence, my weapons are the plain skins I got when I bought the exotic crafted weapons it uses. If you have a Human thief, I really don’t think being Asura will make a huge difference, other than being visually boring.

I play a Asura Thief and love it. I have full T3 armor with the CoE helm, Incinerator and the corrupted dagger or pistol depending on my mood. Personally I think it looks awesome! When you dodge and run you hop around like Yoda fighting Count Dooku. Incinerator looks great imo! Your whole arm is on fire and the dagger stands out quite a bit.

I’ve played Asura thief since launch and I love it! The animations are awesome, and I really don’t care about big weapons and stuff, so it’s perfect for me!

The armor I found most appealing are the named sets with the thief hood – mini Altair if colored right ;p

Weapons from CoE looks amazing with that armor too

Well I had a sylvari thief that I created at launch and loved the class, but it felt clunky. Eventually I made an asuran thief and my only regret was not making it sooner. They feel so much more fluid (to me), not to mention the roll on flanking strike just feels better than the spin of the other races.

You should just get a total makeover kit and make your human a girl.
