Toughness = aggro?
at least my warrior gets targeted a lot more by mobs
when i wear my knight’s set. i don’t know if there is an official
statement but i’m prety sure that it is true

You amount of toughness vs others in your group makes a difference but it isn’t the only thing that contributes to it.
Also as far as I know there has not been a official response on how threat or aggro fully works in this game.
Zikory – Retired Thief
Zikkro – Zergling Necromancer
I use 1600 toughness. This is false. Btw I would like to be targeted more without having to take away from my other stats
This is true and very easy to test as well, run COF-P2 and the end boss will always stick to whoever has the highest toughness.
If yours is the lowest and you try to grab him and hold him in the other room he will ignore you completely.
A someone who is built to off-tank in Knight gear, I can confirm that my 2k Toughness is really an aggro magnet. If you’re a melee range character who debuffs with high Toughness and has at least a respectable dps output, then you’ll be holding aggro most of the time.
Thanks for info.
So: How much toughness should I give my thief on level 80?
I would like to be able to quest alone without dying too often, but I do not want to be an aggro magnet in dungeons or the fractals…
Maybe if you buff toughness you should welcome a role as aggro-magnet?
Toughness works best when combined with frequent in-combat heals because reducing incoming damage increases the effectiveness off healing. If you solo roam PvE and rely for your healing mostly on between-combat regeneration toughness adds less to your effectiveness then when you frequent engage in longer lasting (attrition) fights in events. dungeons or PvP
