Traps will never be viable due to their lack of ground coverage.
It may work in PvE where NPCs can be lured into them, but in a sPvP or W3 environment, there’s too much ground coverage for them to be useful and they’re not exactly mobile.

What if you could place 2 traps at once, like each trap has 2 uses before the cooldown kicks in
The traps need more uses or be of an aoe nature, single activation kills most of the traps as against a single opponent they are easy to avoid, against larger numbers a single use isn’t worth the spot on the bar.

I think traps are very good for an ambush bs build.
place needle trap+ shadow trap over a bridge or in a key point then go away (maybe under the bridge)
when traps are triggered your enemy is immobilized, poisoned, with 10stacks of vulnerability and you are teleported behind him and stealthed. At this point the thief has to press “1-2-2”.
there are times when ppl/npc go at the edge of the trap, the trap springs, but no effects.
it is just a waste of skill slots at the moment… also not working on bosses
The only trap worthy to be used to this day is Ambush and even that is pretty much a waste of slot. They should indeed turn them AoE, because as single target they’re not that useful, especially tripwire.
