This isn’t a duel, this is a video of one warrior running around with no purpose as you slay him/her, and another trying to duel you but failing miserably by running in random directions and looking like an idiot. Your build isn’t even all that good; you probably would have lost had you gone against a single more experienced warrior.

Not impressed.

The warior has probably one of the worst condition removals in the game, in fact, the wariors in the video had 0 condition removal so, being hit by a death bolossom will ensure them taking 3000 damage over 10 seconds (10 seconds of 3 stacks of bleed at 100 damage/tick), even the thief was making errors by leting himself get hit and spaming death blossom.
If there was a better thief in the video (i dont use thief BTW) he could easily take 3 wariors and still win.

Oh and i play warior so i know they have 0 condition removal.

I actually don’t lose to many warriors, i’m in no form trolling, harassing, or making fun of either warrior. I actually think my build is pretty outstanding. I try not run cookie cutter back stab or stealth based builds. and it works great with a team!

Death Blossom – Do an evasive attack over your opponent, striking nearby enemies three times. Each hit causes bleeding.
The reason I use so much is to not only stack bleeds but also to evade incoming attacks. But I do agree my accuracy could be much better!

I use D/D/BS still. No one spams Heartseeker, do they? :O

Even though people are saying cookie cutter backstab hasn’t worked in months then why is their so much rage about the mug nerf? Wasn’t that trait necessary in the rotation of a cookie cutter backstab build?

actually people are sheep and i think yishis or w.e. his name is did a new d/d video of a few random clips of d/d doing ok here n there. i think people might be trying it out again as they feel that if yishis is doing it they are going to do well too. the real deal is that 75% of wvw thieves (saying this to be safe…id be closer to 85 or 90%) are using d/p with backup sb or s/d……the other small % is a mix of s/d and p/d users. ….of course a small few outliers might run d/d but so small i cant remember the last time i saw one on t2 servers.

mug was good in any build with hit crit dmg. s/d ….d/p…………. best case scenario is when people would open with mug CND Steal BS then switch back to a real weapon set as d/d offered such little defense the thief would immediately (as it felt) DIE if there were other around. generally mug did around 3-4k on a crit…..if u sacrificed all defense you could do a lil over 6k…. so before this a GC thief could still kill 1 person and stomp before they die. now after the mug nerf….there really is no reason to go GC anymore. its dead :P a GC thief cant even burst my thief down nevermind a real player with higher defenses.

Go hotjoin or WvW, you’ll see a lot of people HS spamming lol. It’s pretty hilarious.

im dragonbrand and am soley speaking of wvw. i cant vouch for spvp as i only play maybe 6 matches a day .

On Tarnished Coast I never seen anyone else with D/D, I just enjoy the style. As far as SPVP goes I’ll get back to you when there are more game modes lol.

I run D/D Deathblossom/evasion on TC. You may occasionally see me zerg diving but I spend most of my time on the other side of the map assassinating yaks and, on occasion, killing the people who defend them.

Sadly I haven’t been around as much due to work lately and all of these fun PvE updates, lol

I will agree though, D/D is no longer “hot” in WvW, it’s all about the P/D or D/P for most thieves. Honestly I was a better 1vX and zerg diver with P/D but I feel like I do more for the team with my evasion based yaksassinating build.

So … hey. You’re showing us how you perma evade and stack bleeds vs the class who’s got the worst condition removal. great job :>

Lol those wars were basically afk. That 2nd war would have smashed you if not for his extreeeeemely delayed 100b after frenzy. Probably the worst players in GW2.

I main warrior, but been playing my new thief a lot,

warrior mending heal is like 2 removals, shake it off is 2 (3 with soldier runes) fgj and omm also condition remover with runes. They don’t actually have 0

I have a better idea, instead of over exaggerating your comments, why don’t you guys challenge the guy to a duel? Props for taking the time to make a vid though.

Just remember, when making a vid it takes time and effort into doing it. And the viewers take their time to watch it. Next time find some more competant players to duel against.

destroy? nobody. lose to? quite a few. destroy means like no chance of winning or so little its not worth considering. basically what i meant was it wasnt particularly good play here :P. on thief or warrior.

I also main a warior, and i know we can have condition removal, but you should play a bit more with your warrior because missed something:
1.Shake it off removes 1 condition and for many people (including myself) its uor only stun breaker
2.you can use mending to remove conditions but you dont really need the heal (you are almost at max hp in example), so it makes you choose
3. you may need other utilities instead of more shouts, and also you have to sacrifice your runes for condition removal while other classes have plenty of acces to them.

No, this is just silly. A lackluster video about a thief who thinks that killing two scrub warriors is worth making a video out of? Should I post a video of me killing a practice dummy with only my left hand? How about killing svanir with 3 team-mates. Perhaps people in the forums want to see me immobilize a mesmer.

What I see here is an ultra-defensive OP who gets mad whenever someone assumes the point of the topic so he hovers around in the ambiguous topic zone.

Obviously it’s not showing a skilled thief because that was atrocious. The only thing worse than the thief in the video was the 2 warriors.

It’s not about the build because the build sucks and isn’t even posted for discussion.

It’s not about how warriors suck because those are awful representatives straight out of pve who can’t even get the basic combos down.

It’s not about anything… so why post the thread?

OP hasn’t stated what this thread is about, so we’re posting about what we see. All I see is a terrible thief—who has never been on the ladder—who beat two terrible warriors.

And I read is an overly angry player responding to a video. I like to keep my threads clean, actually a player above listed a build that was quite helpful! I don’t mind criticism at all.

But saying I’m a terrible thief, my build sucks without seeing it in reality it actually sounds like your mad. And I apologize that my video made you upset on such a personal level that you needed to insult me. Hopefully you enjoy the rest of your day/night.

I have 1209 hours hours played on my warrior and don’t have issues with thieves, just irks me when people say warriors have 0 condition removals. Mesmers are in a far worse spot when it comes to condition removal, they have to use null field, a mantra and trait for remove condition on heal and still have a very very hard time against a p/d thief
