The recent nerfs have really hurt the thief class as a whole, especially ones who rely on mobility, these changes reflect the nerfs to balance them out.

Shadow Return This is for both the strike and the utility.
Extend Range from 1200 to 2400, create.

Infiltrator’s Strike
Extend Range from 600 to 1200, lower base damage slightly, create points every 3 seconds that trace the steps back to the first one, this will allow better tracking back to shadow returns original location.

Shadowstep
Extend Range from 1200 to 1800, create points every 3 seconds and buff shadow returns duration for this skill to 15 seconds. These like the suggested above further traces your steps back so you have a better chance to return to your original location.

Infiltrator’s Arrow
Extend Range from 900 to 1500, except make it a leap that leaps over obstacles, you become a shadow and leap to the location. The effect is slower then a teleport, but it allows you to get away faster.

I could not agree more with this and have thought the same thing on posting your same thoughts.

Then I realized ArenaNet doesn’t care, and decided to not post my thoughts on this.
After all, I’m now 10 months in with a broken Infiltrator’s Strike bug and ArenaNet could give a kitten less about fixing it.

Thief shadowsteps now work worse than mesmer, guardian and ele teleports. Overfixed bug from a not played by anyone tPvP map.

To be honest, I don’t think anyone at ArenaNet plays the Thief. Or atleast enough to balance it properly.

Yesterday I was unable to shadostep return, as I was stading next to a wall. I just got teleported 3 feet into aoe.

I could neither use shadowstep utility to port up a hill next to the watergate at Bay castle on a borderland. A hill I could have walked up.

This gets sader every patch. Still ppl say we are OP.
Thief is IMO the weakest 1v1 class if traited and build for it and also the weakest ZvZ class.
Now they took good part of mobility and ppl still are buttomhurt and rant about us like that guy in this thread.

Yep It’d be awesome if they fixed it, but I’m not really complaining. Just because people dislike thief mobility already, doesn’t mean bugs shouldn’t be fixed.
