Shadow Refuge : Now gain full stealth on cast
Each pulse now affects 25% damage reduction for 4 seconds
Cast time increased to 0.75 from 0.25

Signet of Shadows :
Passive : now blind a foe around 240 radius by 25% chance when struck
Active : remove revealed from allies around 360 radius

Traits

Acrobatics

Adept
New trait : Empowered Evasion : Replace Fleet Shadow
gain might whenever you evade an attack
duration : 4s
Recharge : 1s

Fleet Shadow : now moved into Shadow Arts

Master
Swindler’s Equilibrium : Now effect by every weapon

Hard to Catch : Now gain 50 Endurance when active
Removed Endurance regeneration Increase

Guarded Initiation : Health Threshold reduced to 75%

Grandmaster
Assassin’s Reward : Increased Healing by 40%

Don’t Stop : Now grants a 25% increase in movement speed.

Shadow Arts
Resilience of Shadows : Changed to Fleet Shadow

Double Strike : Damage increased by 33%

Wild Strike : Damage increased by 33%

Lotus Strike : Damage increased by 33%

Slash : Damage increased by 40%

That sounds like something anet would do. And it sounds better than what most came up with on this forum (no offense).
Still I’d like the dmg increase back on CnD – I don’t think that nerf was justified, probably wasn’t justified when it was brought into pvp either as D/D has been pretty dead for years. I want SE to be more reliable and/or other traits to remove conditions better and I really need blind when gaining stealth – CiS in grandmaster is no good.
But it’s only a start, I guess. Thief needs some more work than that and I can’t speak for S/D/Acro.

There is no way in hell they’ll increase dagger or sword autos by 33%. It’ll be 5-10% tops.
I really don’t want my class to be overpowered.

It would be broken with too much dmg on auto attack, not really overpowered.
To me pre June Engi was broken, with 75% UP skills and 25% over OP skills on 5 different sets – hammer is the first weapon of engi that makes any sense but still the core of the class seems to be all over the place.

If true, I like that they are bringing back some might stacking for Thief, I just hope you get more than a single stack on evade.

Will the rest be enough to bring Thief into meta in PVP and wanted in raids? I have no idea, there doesn’t seem to anything bringing group utility for PVE and the DPS stuff just makes it a slightly better +1 class in PVP :/

Sad to see absolutely nothing regarding pistols. Body shot needs a boon strip or something.

I hope not. Power of Inertia used to be 15s of might on every dodge. This would only give 4 stacks max IF you evade an attack every single second. Realistically you’d probably get half that.

Just thinking about those 11k Autos in WvW just makes me shake my head for anyone to think of this as a reasonable balance bump.

Precisely why my expectations for the upcoming balance patch are set to none; the thief doesn’t need more AA damage. A lot of traits and weapon skills simply just need reworks.

Ye, but i dont think they will buff numbers on all weapons autoatacks. They probably will add trait which will add dmg to autoatacks, maybe unblockable effect, or +100% dmg to the next atack when blocked

Anyway – I have no idea whether or not this are the true upcoming patchnotes – yet it still sounds like something anet would do. They nerfed the dmg coefficent of CnD and CnD alone – so they did that before and I guess they will do it again.
Doesn’t mean it makes much sense – the butchering of SA didn’t either, yet some people think that the traitline is “balanced” right now.

So I hope that anet will pull through and can balance the class without our conflicting input.

Although, I guess we all agree that the least we need is more dmg on our AA – but whatever.
