im running 10/30/30/0/0… valkyrie armors. all ascended berserker trinkets&back.. zerker weapons.. so how much Critical Chance u have on your 0/20/30/20/0 build?

@coloxeus: 45% crit chance. For recording in-game video i use mirilli’s Action! in desktop mode for capture SweetFX. Render with Sony vegas 12

There’s no such thing as “cheese”, get off your high horse, it’s getting old as kitten hearing people say that using a specific set or build is “cheese” and therefore shouldn’t be played.

Honestly man, this has got to be one of the worst Thief videos I’ve seen yet, and here’s why:

1. The gigantic black box in the bottom left hand corner that feels like it covers a quarter of the screen is distracting enough as it is, but the changing text on it is just kittening annoying. You’re in some pr0 clanz son, we get it, it’s at the start and it’s in the thumbnail, we don’t have to be reminded every 5 seconds who you are, what your build is, and what guild you’re in.
2. The flashing render crap every 10 seconds was even more annoying and disruptive than the big black box. I paused it at the right frame and it just looked like a poorly rendered video so I’m not going to blame you for this entirely, but come on man, watch your video before you upload it so that you can fix ridiculously obvious errors like these!
3. You’re a skill clicker, and holy kitten was it painful to watch… I was just waiting for you to start rotating on the spot like a keyturner and I wouldn’t have been too surprised if you did.
4. Watching you in group fights against upscaled players where it was usually XvX and not always 1vX was just plain boring as kitten. Seriously.
5. Generic music that we’ve all heard a billion times combined with no game sound effects = boring and uninteresting.

Overall, I give your video a 2/10, I didn’t even get past the five minute mark it was that bad.

What do you have against d/d?

Anyway, id say stop wasting your signet for +1 initiative(therefore change the trait in critical strikes to the one that procs fury every 45seconds),pick on better targets (w/o 3 guys helping you ) and use hs to get closer to your enemy instead of d/p#3.

@GaeZ: His interpretations are not “of the stupid” as you said. And are not interpretations, but facts. (even though what I think you mean is “point of view” instead of “interpretation”, you shouldn’t use words that you don’t know the meaning of)

You can hide the cursor with the recording program all you want, but we’ll still know you’re a clicker

Clicking, no actual display of skill, generic music, bad opponents, double signets, among other things like Kensei said: shadowshot > heartseeker as a gap closer (even does more damage if the target has some hp on them)

Basically what I get from this is that you’re another one of those thieves that couldn’t succeed but then found out about this “cheese-spec” (which is pretty much cruise-control to being successful in wvw ) and wrongly thought you were good material. Sorry but you couldn’t be further from the truth.
That said, its getting kinda boring/old about all these horrible thief videos coming along lately.

I understand the frustration in your words, but, shall we get so aggressive?
Maybe hes just new to the spec, maybe he needs more time to learn, the point is, he just posted the vid for fun , to gain experience from the thief community’s comments, as every good player should do.

it really depends use #3 when enemy is @ 600 – 900 distance…

Why does everyone play that for d/p? 20/30/20/0/0 gives you more damage with Scholar Runes and Hidden Killer. You should consider going for Knights/Cav Trinks full zerker top and Beryl Orbs.

This build has the Condi Removal, Toughness of your build, but it has much more damage.

Nice video btw, but I don’t like the build because it suffers. You don’t need any points in Acro to play D/P. With the build I listed you can infinite stealth just like the Acro build.

d/p is more engaging to play than d/d. This is due to the fact that you have to hit a single target and can chain stealth with C&D. Not worry about CDs. With d/p you have to worry when your next Blinding Powder will be up and time stealths. If you heartseeker anything while trying to stealth you die because of revealed. (After the initial stealth ofc.) The onlything ‘cheese’ about the spec is the blinds for some melee classes and the blinds are not always that great.

In a thief 1v1 the d/p has a easier fight then d/d. My 1300 hours played on thief gives me the right to end that discussion.

Edit: I would’ve watched the video but you need to let mobile devices watch. I’m in a spa reading the thieves forum. By the comments it’s great people are watching have fun editing and do what you want.

@jim: good for fractal or normal world Pve, not for speedrun !! (more fun btw)

@Incurafy, Tonikor, Urbanevil: if you guys think that i’m a clikker you are wrong (if u want i can recorder with cursor up :P), only use utility skill and elite with mouse because no need to bind them … in my generic playstyle prefer not abuse to utility skill (i spam only inf signet for have teleport/breakstun every 24 sec).
In my YT chan u can see my first video, there i use Ele D/D.. so u can see my “clikker Skill” … cheeeeeese … “click”
For the enemys, i change 3 server, ATM this is what the WvW offer!

@love: Prefer 20 point in acro for more thing. Ini regen, Fleet Shadow (in combo with Shadow’s Embrace is good for evade moving CC in stealth) and Feline Grace (OMG this trait is awesome).

@Mindtrick Sorry for that, u can evade device protection … go in youtube via browser and use desktop version !!!

For flash in video, is a YT render problem, sorry for that!
For music … guys the video is personal, so I put the music I like!

At the end I received both positive and negative opinions, so it makes me think that the video did not come entirely a kitten !!

I would hardly call my comment “elitist”, you may want to check your definition of that one.

I disagree with you and everyone else who calls any build or weaponset “cheese”. It’s a good build that is powerful in the right hands, and that’s exactly how a good build should be. Calling builds cheese and acting as though playing them makes the player somehow worse or as though the build shouldn’t be taken seriously is just plain stupid.

If anybody is an elitist (based on the usually incorrect usage by gamers) here, it’s you.

D/P in general is Init hungry.. the points in Acro alleviates that with extra init regen.

No you can’t. Nor you can heal yourself through Shadow’s rejuvenation and Assassin’s reward. Try a non 1v1 fight, and then let’s talk again.
