Guild Wars 2

Hello teefs!
I’m a necromancer main, and a YouTuber and always looking to play new things. I currently have (played) all the professions except for ele. That will come later, but first I wanted to hone my thief skills. So far I quite like the mobility (something you don’t have as a necromancer) and the assassin role it has in PvP. I have recorded some fights and put it in a tiny montage, all I’m asking is for some advice because I’m always looking to get better.

(These were of course the fights I won, since no one likes to see people losing, but I’m pretty sure I still could have still done things better/faster/preciser. Feel free to say anything that comes to mind, but have mercy)

Well, you are a great player. Only thing i notice which isnt weird at all when not “maining” a thief, is that you lose track of yourself sometimes, at least what it looks like.
However you are a great player, your knowledge and decisionmaking will get you far no matter what you play!

Nothing wrong with your gameplay. A great thief overall.

Aside of the fact that you sometimes seem to have a bit of trouble adjusting to the higher speed a thief plays at, there’s nothing wrong at all!
Great kiting, clever stealthing, good initiative managing, proper targetting…

You can tell you played the other classes, that is a big benefit to every thief player.
Knowing your enemy makes all the difference and since you got that nailed down quite well, you play thief good and clever

Anyways, I liked the video, and as others have stated, you have experience from other classes which is great and smart gameplay.

That first fight… If that was me, I would have been engaging on that Warrior, and then that Mesmer would have showed up before I was done, and then another Warrior and possibly an engie, and the enemy team would have all the other points. -_- That warrior did not dodge your whirling axe at all lol.

The next fight vs Ele I would have had 5 AoEs stacked on top of me from that guardian as I would have tried to stomp him, or I would have gotten launched :\

I never get the stars to align where my own teammates to help me out like yours has during extended fights :\ Great video, I wish I could play D/P like that.

@Noha, yup thief is completely different compared to my main, necro. The quick bursts and combo’s need my full attention, which I often don’t have since I’m checking where the enemy is/watching CD’s/etc. I’ll practise

@Vernollo haha, thanks! It did indeed help to know that a GS warrior’s weakness is range I might indeed go thief actually. I REALLY do like it. Should have played it earlier then my dark green ping pong ball (necro) xD

@Mompen Was fun indeed! I have a thief now for WvW, so we can do even more roaming :P
