Is it just me or is shadow refuge just kitten strong?
Shadow Refuge -> Immediately Unload for 6 100% life-steal shots -> Wait -> Re-stealth -> Unload 6 more shots.

Position makes all the difference when your running P/D, be behind the enemy as often as you can. The goal is to be invulnerable or invisible 95% of the time.

Stealth -> Unload -> 1 Shot -> Dodge – > C&D
The enemy has very little time to actually do damage to you.

Am i the only P/D thief running without Signet of Shadows?

I think most thieves regardless of build get spoiled by signet of shadows and find it hard to give up

Seeing as the build is all about maneuverability, position, kiting, hit and run C&Ders.

I’ve just never even remotely considered ANY other skill to be even remotely as useful.

Also it has that instant blind to counter mug/C&D/Backstab or Bullrush/100blades.

Also most classes have very easy access to longer duration of swiftness then thieves so most of the time were at a speed disadvantage.

Traits: 25/0/30/15 or 10/10/30/20 or 0/0/30/20/20
Gear: Rampagers and Valk, or Berserkers and Valk, or Apothecary and Carrion,
Runes: Adventurers, Divinity, or Undead
Respectively, videos with the hood are the berserkers 10/10/30/20 divinity set, no hood is the rampvalk set, and the pink gear is my new apothecary carrion set

Sigils: I haven’t found ones that REALLY stand out, I always have a shortbow with a snowball sigil for getting my 25 stacks from the wolves. I’m quite fond of Air and I always use Intelligence on my D/D. I think I may have a sigil of earth on my pistol but I never really notice it, will prob switch to a bleed duration on m rampagers/valk build.

Nice use of cropping/keyframes and slo-mo. Din’t really need the blur tbh.

And yea, Shadow Refuge is efin STRONK.

But I never seem to have room for it in WvW. Can’t part w/my extra speed (also an aoe blind for stomping, etc), immobilize and poison! They need to give me 4 non-elite util slots, or just allow me to use non-elite skills in the elite slot.

Nope, I use it only when running from place to place. As soon as I see the enemy I swap to Scorpion wire. Since the buff I love it!

The blurr is from my lack of GPU :/ Am getting a new desktop for christmas though so it’ll be over soon.

I’ve been running with /0/0/30/20/20 for a week and am liking my survivability but I haven’t found good gear to go with it. Plus, I’m working towards my legendary so I’m trying not to spend gold on things that aren’t working towards it, which sucks whenever I get through watching videos like this =(

Its a P/D D/D hybrid. I have enough crit damage combined with a sigil of intelligence to pull off massive backstabs, but i have the right assortment of stats giving my P/D a mix of direct and condition damage, this way it’s not shut down as hard by heavy armor or condition removal respectably

I run the same build – Full carrion with cryscola gems – with full Condition stacks with Might food (forget the name – Convo me tonight i will link you) rocking 150 ticks. BUT i need that much focus on defense due to always sporting the blue tag.

Yeah, cause an army of lowbies rezzing you every time you die must be so terrible. I take great pleasure in killing commanders, and then re-killing them every time they get rezzed <3
