Hi guys,
I’m about to start making my armor set and my initial idea was to make 4 Berserker + 2 Valkirie armor pieces. But a guildie told me that toughness was a better choice over Vitality and now I’m wondering….

Should I go for Knight instead of Valkirie do combine with Berserker?

A general rule of thumb is:

Vitality stacking is a counter to conditions.
Toughness is a counter to pure damage.

Although a thief can’t stack a lot of the above, it depends if you’re going to be fighting anything with condtions (aka players and wvwvw).

I’d say if you’re sticking to just pve, go toughness. Wvwvw then vitality, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter as long as you have exotics :P

Go vitality. Toughness is good if have lots of healing, but if you’re a thief, generally you just want to be able to survive the burst before stealthing away.

I’m PvPer, always have been and what you guys say makes perfect sense and was my opinion as well thats what i was going for Berserker + Valkyrie but this thief friend of mine (very skilled pvper, i have been playing with him for many ears and in many mmos so I trust him) told me that i should go for toughness and got me thinking about it.
