Warrior or Thief? (For PvE/WvW)
Define your meaning of fun.
Use a class that does the work for you, or use a class everyone will hate you for.
(For PvE only – results may vary with the skill level of pugs)
Let me start off by saying both thief and warrior have been my mains for over a year. Warrior lacks depth. The class is incredibly easy to master and not very useful. They’ve been reduced to banner-mules in the current PvE. Thieves, on the other hand, are incredibly hard to master due to a lack of survivability until you actually master the class. They have the second highest damage and provide party-wide stealth. Both have a dedicated slot in most parties. I’d recommend you make one of each although if I had to pick one it would be thief (because they’re less boring).
Do you want to win all the time like Charlie Sheen, get all the ladies and have godmode and tons of weapons and builds or do you want to stealth past things, steal TVs and be hated by society, troll people by existing and have more cheese than Sheogorath? :o
Warrior
If you want a class that puts a lot of work and effort and still remain Op, this is the right class for you.
Thief
If you want a class that puts no effort or work whatsoever and still remain OP, than this is the class for you.
-Reap and Reward Class- > Warrior
" Before the reward there must be labor. You plant before you harvest "
-Reward than Reap Class- > Thief
" Before the labor, reap the reward. Harvest before you plant "
OP, I leave the Truth in your hand,
You decide→

If someone has to emphasize that they are telling the truth, they are usually not
I think you got classes mixed up there burnfall. Warrior can be fun but is considered easy mode. Thief can also be fun and is indeed easy when you are a good player.
You will get more mileage out of a warrior (and guardian) in WvW and PvE, with a lot less stress.
WvW thieves are “locked” into roaming… Warriors/guards they can do w/e they want.
Fun, can’t say. I’m having more fun posting on the forums and playing the AH than playing the game on either thief, warrior, or guardian.
Can we make Burnfall an honorary thief for that comment? I’m out of breath :’D

Hey Burnfall, why don’t you show us some of your play?
EDIT: may I also add that most of the community would swap warrior with thief in your statement. Even some of the most militant thief haters (/cough Helseth /cough) would probably say that warrior is easier to play than thief.

The style of thief is a ton of fun, but the performance of thief in PvE is so lackluster that it really spoils the experience.
Warrior is a rather dull class, but it’s hard to argue what works…
I must really suck then because I just got my thief to 80 and find it harder to play than my engineer which has so many utility skills with 4 kits that I need a massage after playing!
My warrior, on the other hand, I let my 7 year old Nephew try out. Just saying.
Skill cap is higher on thief, but consequently also is the peak performance.
Burnfall’s just a hater who’s been killed by a few thieves a little too much and refuses to counterplay/L2P/do anything but QQ on the forums, so don’t take his word on anything :P

Go for warrior
Thief is gonna be deleted somewhere this year.
