Was Pistol whip an accidental nerf?
It has always been a half second, but it was rounded up to 1 second due to a bug which was fixed the 15th. And it was already weak while it was rounded up to 1..
So I hope they’ll make it longer or add immobilize to it or something..
It was accidental. They mentioned it in a different thread and the balance team is looking at it.
Its a stupid skill anyway, able to interrupt the most in a shorter time is just a horrible mechanic to play against and also since the stun is so short you miss half the damage. Just don’t play sword pistol, do something that is better paced like dagger pistol or even sword dagger if you are new to thieves. Some people like it but its not very popular because of that however using the new immob stacking will certainly make the burst hit hard come to think of it. But other weapons are more viable.
They should just make it 1s stun, like it was until this patch. Pistolwhip was “ok” – not bad, but not that good before it. And it seems like the simplest quick fix.(I mean wtf – is a simple variable change for 1 skill so hard to do as a hotfix?)

Apparently it is, or they just don’t care. It was one of the first posts up concerning oct.15 patch and still no word from ANet.
