dude, when i HAVE tested it a few days ago, or some weeks at most, it pw was 1 second and 3/4, also the stun was buffed from a useless 1/4 to a more reasonable 1/2
overall it is nice ! i hope it is not too OP now… for 5 init is quite ok
also the damage starts from 300 and goes up to 2.5k on last hit, is that too much for you ?? on my side is another damage nerf but a bit more utility

seems a-net has done something usefull for a change, i am glad
also now quickness is not needed to actually do damage with it !

Nothing that happens in WvW matters at all, because there are too many ways to stack damage bonuses there. World bonuses, trinkets, foods, orbs, etc.. none of these “insane” things you see happening in WvW, will ever occur in spvp or tpvp.

If you base your profession choice on WvW videos, you’re going to get sorely disappointed when you realize how much time you wasted on a profession you didn’t really want to play.

I feel like I’m going crazy here, all these warriors that are saying the amount of damage a thief can do should not be allowed ever, yet they are seriously defending these 17k damage hits??

It doesn’t matter if those people are level 1 and up leveled, there is no way that kind of damage should be able to be reached. You think that’s ok!? How good is it for this game for those lowbie a to get completely 1 shot from 1500 range having no idea what happened??

I’m really at a loss for words. As everyone has said about the thief class “What if I had an instant kill ability that kills anyone on a 5 min cool down, would that be ok? No it wouldn’t because it would be ridiculous.” You cannot have your cake and eat it too, if you are calling for thieves damage nerfs, saying that no one should be able to insta gib, and that that kind of damage should never be possible, then you have to call for warrior damage nerfs as well, because this is an insta gib ability, the very kind you “hate” (when it’s not your class that can do it.) It doesn’t matter how you defend this, it needs to go.

Almost every profession, engineer, thief, necromancer, mesmer, can do that kind of damage against upleveled players in WvW with a full arange of damage bonuses, just browse the various profession videos on youtube.

You have to realize that upleveled characters have no toughness at all.

In proper spvp and tpvp, no player, not thief and not warrior, can do that kind of damage. If you ask anet to balance the game around wvw, then spvp and tpvp will become unplayable.

You will never see a rifle warrior be successful in tpvp or spvp, so I doubt you will ever see a downgrade to warrior rifle, anet has already stated they like where warriors are at now.. which is kinda sad because warriors are in a bad place in s/t pvp.

PW is 3/4-1s channel skill, just sayin. In fact while the stun lasts 1/2 seconds, it last about half or more of the channel.

The other part about the S key is completely extraneus to me, what are you talking about? Have I posted any gameplay of me abusing of the S key?

All in all, you do more or less two PW in a single Haste duration so I’d say as a rough guess that the total PW duration from start to finish is around 4s or slightly more.

You can do 3 pistol whips in an haste. You can’t do the third due to lack of initiative.
The PW channel is about 1 second when unhasted, the casting time of the stun is 3/4 of second. I’ve misured it out with a cronometer, it is more or less 2 seconds.
Still, it is less than Hundred Blades and has an evade in it.

Fun fact:
Backstab deals more damage than Kill Shot.

The reason why you don’t see 20k crits on your Backstab is because your 10k Mug and 10k C&D has already killed them. Also, the Warrior trait [Berserker’s Power] is bugged and gives you +12% more damage for every additional foe you hit.
The reason why nobody screams OP about this is because it has a huge visual tell and deals only about half as much damage as the BS combo.

Fun Fact:
Warriors get 35% More Critical Chance then Thieves, , More Traits that Increase Base Damage, There Kill Shot can hit Multiple Targets (Unlike Backstab which can only hit one target.), and it only does 14 (YES a whole 14!) damage less then backstab, and has 1370 more range too! AND is a Combo finisher: Projectile.

I’d rather get 35% Innate Critical Chance, better base damage, 1370 more range and “Combo Finisher: Projectile” and an AOE attack, it also has an 8 second (cooldown) if traited, then Backstab.

And guess what? You don’t even need to be behind the target!

But expect to see Warrior buffs and Thief nerfs in Nov15 patch.
Because the Dev is biased and plays Warrior, you can also expect them to consistently get buffs till every single one of their weapons can do that killshot damage on every single weapon ability.

Full Signets.

6: Healing Signet: 40 Precision, decent heal.
7: Signet of Stamina: Full Condition Cure, Awesome Passive, great for getting out of stuff.
8: Signet of Might: Good Passive, Great for using for “Kill Shot”.
9: Signet of Fury: Great Passive, FULL ADRENALINE HEAL (so I can killshot again!)
0: Signet of Rage: 20% Critical Chance up whenever you need it.

40 precision signets and 9% critical chance and 20% after that is about 35% extra critical chance, which I cannot even fathom to get as a thief.

12% If Full Adrenaline+10% Damage if target is bleeding, which is 100%+30 Critical Damage. (Literally 88% critical chance with Berserker Gear.)

You will never see a rifle warrior be successful in tpvp or spvp…

My rifle/bow, signet stacking, crit/power spec’d warrior disagrees with you.

What you MEAN to say is “bads can’t play ranged warriors hence you don’t see them as often as ROFLbunkers who afk on points”.

My warrior drops flurry every six seconds, has ridiculous crit %, HP, armor and hits like a fargin howitzer. I’ve been advocating ranged warriors for awhile now. In fact I just got done having this discussion only a few days ago in my last thread with Plague and a couple other warriors out there.

Warrior is an amazing class with some of the most amazing synergy to be found in all the class trait lines. 9 times out of 10 when you see a warrior whining it’s a lrn2play issue.

Yes, bunkers suck. That’s a global issue. When bunkers are addressed you’ll see a whole nother meta come into play. It’s not an issue of “warriors suck” as it is an issue of bunkers are way the **** over the top.

Also nerf the CD on portal.
