im still waiting for the So called Staying Power Buff in battle that they were talking abbout.
oh yeah and some fix on our Conditions ? its impossible nowdays to stack it above 6 everyone i mean EVERYONE running bunker builds just constantly Removing all my conditions in secs and overheal the dmg it done.

Lets see, what did they mention in the interview? Improved mobility to make us the fastest again. Improvements to condition Thieves to make them more viable (they nerfed it tho o.o). Improvements to Pistols and our weaker weapon sets in general. More methods of Boon removal. The inclusion of a method to apply Burning condition… Those were some of the buffs they mentioned they might do. None of it happened yet, and we’re even more broken now. The intended stealth nerf didn’t happen either with the last minute change.

What he means is other classes can stack bleeds better. My Warrior can land 25 stacks in 1 button press. And when people can spam removal that just makes it all the more worse.

Yeah, it definitely felt like 4 hits with the nerf bat with no compensation. But hey, it could be worse. I could still be playing my ranger.
They say that condition Thieves rely too much on bleeds, so they plan on diversifying condition access eg. more poisons and burns. They then nerf bleeding, as if to say “NO! BAD THIEF! STOP USING BLEEDS!” and give no alternative methods at the same time. That’s just a bit screwed up.
The “change bit by bit every month” approach isn’t working. Major overhauls are needed, not just for Thieves but for Rangers and Warriors (in sPvP), and NOW.

The issue isn’t necessarily that a bit-by-bit approach won’t work at all, but rather that you CANNOT combine that with once a month changes.
They should be putting out class balancing patches every week, like they did early on, if they want to make only minor tweaks.
At this rate it’ll easily take them a year to manage what most other games do in a month with the class balancing.
That’s what I meant. Bit by bit is fine, but monthly…no.

Of course it does; they balanced the whole class around the assumption that you’ll have a dagger off-hand.
You think Shadow Arts would be anything more than a morbid joke if you had to rely on utilities for stealth?
Ooooh, I can gain 2 initiative and remove a condition three times a minute, and all it cost me was two Major traits, two utility slots and nearly a third of my trait points!

Given some contemporary developments I’d think, main-hand as well.
Just pointing out how any concerns on how the thief plays seems atm to be focused on the Dagger.
Considering that our current options are:
Sword
Daggers
Pistols
Shortbow
Daggers are a pretty big part of the option pool, main or off-hand.

i think it would be pretty safe if they lowered the initiative cost of dancing dagger.
maybe make blinding powered pulse a blind 3 times
give shadow step a 40 second cooldown
make scorpion wire instant and do more damage
buff the damage on head shot, by a lot
actually come to think of it, a pretty sweet buff/content addition would be if you got a full set of skills when using only one weapon.
if you used a main hand dagger with nothing off hand, you got a full weapon set based around using only one dagger. idk maybe you punch them or something, or use your other hand to hold them still while you stab them.

The bleeds themselves, I’m not sure. If you stand in front of an Ele or a Necro you’re going to suffer yes, Bleeds aren’t an Engi’s speciality as they’re more about burns and poisons.
Of course, the only reliable condition they have is Bleeding, which can be removed just anyone with even just one skill that just removes one condition. But my bleeds+burn+poison+confusion will just be shrugged off just as easily as your bleeds alone by the classes that are being complained about on that level, I need alot of calculations combined with a sprinkle of luck in order to get through Elementalists and Guardians condition wise. Besides yes, Thieves could use a shorter cooldown on damaging poisons.
