Hey folks!
So whilst procrastinating earlier and feeling somewhat dissatisfied with the current weapon combinations available to the Thief right now, I figured I’d attempt to ‘design’ my own weapons, theorycrafting what I believe would be an ideal weapon to spice things up for Thieves at least, and could also provide deeper customisation and variety to other Professions too: the Kama!
The design/concept basics are just below and well, I’d love to hear opinions and constructive criticisms on this completely arbitrary tangent I went on!

TL;DR Version: It’s a slow day and I do random crap when I’m bored, now I want to justify the fact I’ve wasted 40 minutes brainstorming this out!
Kama – Exotic melee weapon that provides mobility and condition damage.
Weapon applications for Thief.
-Mainhand Kama-
1. Golden Fox Strike > Wild Strike > Fox Fangs (if wielding 2 Kama/Kama and Dagger)/Executing Shot (If wielding Kama/Pistol), Decimate (Stealthed ability)
Golden Fox Strike: Swing your Kama into your foe, causing minor bleeding and gaining precision. (1 Stack each, 10 seconds)
Wild Strike: Strike your foe again with an offhand swing, leaving them vulnerable (1 stack, 10 seconds) and gaining precision (1 stack, 5 seconds).
Fox Fangs: Strike your foe with both weapons, applying multiple stacks of bleeding if you score a critical hit. (3 Stacks, 10 seconds)
Executing Shot: Shoot your foe at point blank range, causing more damage the closer you are. (Max range – 600, fairly average base damage, dealing 3x damage at 130 range)
Decimate (Stealthed): Assault your foe from the shadows, crippling them and causing multiple stacks of vulnerability, moreso if you hit from behind. (3 stacks normal, 5 stacks from behind)
2. Dance of Death (3 initiative): Swing your Kama in a circle around you, dealing more damage the further away your foe is. (Max range – 400, caps at 2.5x base damage at 375 range)
3. Graceful Leap (5 initiative): Evasively leap through your foe whilst striking, applying conditions depending on your equipped weapons. (Kama adds 2 stacks of bleeding for each equipped for 10 seconds, dagger adds poison for 10 seconds, pistol causes blindness for 6 seconds)
-Offhand Kama (Applies to all weapon combinations)-
4. Sinister Hook (4 initiative): Throw your weapon, if successfully hitting a foe pulling them to you, causing knockdown and bleeding. ( Max range – 1000, 2 stacks bleeding for 10 seconds, knockdown for 0.75 seconds. Skill would work as a “Skillshot”, with the player only having control of which direction they throw the hook. Should an enemy run into the hook before it reaches it’s maximum length/destination or on the rebound to the player, the enemy will be reeled in if a target hasn’t already been hooked.)
5. Gouge (6 initiative): Stab your foe’s eyes out with both weapons, crippling them and causing blindness (6 seconds on cripple, 10 seconds on blindness)
Offhand Dagger: Same as the regular offhand dagger.
Offhand pistol: Same as regular offhand pistol.
