Guild Wars 2

I’m been playing my DD for a few days now, and hadn’t noticed this behavior before, but tonight I logged in with Staff and Bound equipped, and started fighting mobs around Western Tarir.

What was weird was that every time I used Vault or Bound in combat, I would launch about twice as high as usual. It seemed to hover a bit longer too, more airtime. This was only during combat, and I don’t think I could use it to reach higher ledges or anything, and the travel distance was no further, but it did seem to give me a little more control over my landings. I also had a flashy “ember” looking glow effect around me. I think it may have been something to do with that persistent zone buff? I should also point out that I was playing an Asura Thief, so I was extra flippy. Anyone else experienced this?
