I’m wondering what can give stealth away? I was playing some WvW yesterday and a group was coming near so I stealthed with shadow refuge along with blinding powder and hide in shadows stealth stacked on top and moved away a considerable distance from where I was standing . Anyways, most of the group went on by, but suddenly someone broke away from the group and used a dash ability directly at me and started slashing away.

I’m wondering a couple thing though. Which animations can an enemy still see while you’re stealthed and the other was how was it possible that someone seemed to know exactly where I was when there wasn’t anything that could have given away where I was? Is there some class that has an ability which is able to target enemies even though they’re stealthed?

Mostly for me with the black swirls at the feet and sound. You can hear where they go in and out and see it with the swirls. I think but am not 100% sure that if you are stealthed and you blinding powder the smoke aoe effect is visible. It’s also loud.

Shadow Refuge alone puts you near the stealth duration stack cap; you didn’t need to use Blinding Powder and Hide in Shadows too.

I also hear that some of the legendary weapons effects (such as Incinerator) don’t go away.
