What classes to watch out for in WvW
I run 10/30/30 d/d. The classes I fear most in no particular order are:
Turret or grenade engi
D/p thief
Bunker warrior
M/M necro
Other than that I don’t feel too disadvantaged.
Thanks for the feedback I assumed engis would be on the list, do you find power or condition builds more annoying?
both tbh, I’m no good against engi unless they are glass, then I can usually burst them before they know what hit them.
Engineers and PU mesmers are my worst enemies, necros occasionally.
Most power builds I don’t have issues with receipt warrior in some cases, but condi I need to be on point with no mistakes to even have a chance against conditionmancers or nade engis. No idea why but PU isnt usually a problem. I play d/d 10/30/30
Guardians are hard for me to deal with if they’re defensively specced, but are easy to disengage. Depends on my mood what I do here. If I’m bored or in a don’t-really-care mood, I’ll engage them, figure out if they’re pretty defensively specced, and if so and I have trouble downing them, will generally disengage. If they’re DPS specced they tend to go down with relative ease.
Warrior unkillable build I will avoid if it’s obvious. Generally I can kinda tell if a warrior is running an unkillable build by just watching what they’re doing.
Engineers if I don’t have the drop on them, and they appear to be DPS specced, because they can pretty much shred anything by dropping bombs once they get jumped, so surprise and removing their ability to react is key here.
That’s about it. Other stuff I don’t really fear, including other thieves. Other thieves are generally easy because most thieves play as one trick ponies and that one trick is very easy to either counter and kill with, or simply disengage, especially as a thief.
Condition engineers, mesmers, and necros. Our class is still very weak against conditions unless you want 30 in Shadow Arts.
Bunker classes can be killed given enough time.
