When you use a trap skill. You can either place them on the the ground after 2nd cast or Using steal will place that trap on the target which you can activate later. The effect will be adjusted for balance reasons.

Stole this idea from Overwatch ofcourse.

Traps are terribly balanced as it is (perma stealth trapper says hi), until that one’s figured out, I’d loathe to see anything like that in the game.
That said, if traps are “fixed” and/or your idea implemented in a more clever way… Then sure, why not. Suppose it’d make trapper builds at least remotely interesting for people that don’t just want to troll and grief. I’m pretty much always in for anything involving active play.

I think they are fine as they are. If you want to place a trap, you can. If you want an enemy to trigger a trap asap you just activate the trap and immediately use steal to shadowstep while prepping it, then it’ll lay it right on top of them.

Only thing I still don’t like is the shape of thief traps. Even guardians seem better at laying traps over thieves. wtf is that about. XD

Speaking of traps, how come the Superior Rune of the Dragonhunter doesn’t work in Thief’s traps or even the Ranger’s traps? If it does then it’s probably the builder I’m using that doesn’t have that tool tip.

Have you tried perma stealth trapper lately? Nothing with half a brain dies to it. Maybe unsuspecting core specs…even then it’s easy to counter.
