Anyone can link me the build or describe what this is – I saw a thief immobilize another player before inflicting 20 stacks of bleed with some poison which melted the person. So im just curious as to what this is looks fun

Sounds like dire death blossom spam and panic strike proct. But I could be wrong as I don’t play Condi. Never seen a p/d thief get 20 stacks. Dunno about ‘fun’ looks amusing for an hour or so.

Noup, sounds like someone forgot to add cc breakers and condi cleaning to their build. you saw stealthd d/p thief with condi gear immobilising enemy with needle trap (or trippwire) and dropping caltrops at their feet. Mentioned enemy was too stupid to use any of avialable cc breaking skills to counter that one trick ponny.

The idea is to hide in stealth until all CDs refreshes, then you spike your target with lots of bleeding stacks.

Hide in Shadows needs to be timed correctly with Steal, so that at the end of casting HiS, you’d drop a Needle Trap at their feet. Then you lay out the Caltrops followed by DB — then watch the fountain of numbers from bleeding. Then use Shadow’s Refuge or CnD to hide in stealth again.

You can change Dagger Storm to Basilisk and use it to set up the Needle Trap from your skill bar, not the one that triggers from heal, then follow up with the same combo — Caltrops → DB. You can spam DB at this point to add even more stacks.

Of course, as others have mentioned, this build gets destroyed by a single stun breaker, if you miss the timing of your combo, if you get interrupted (Thieves can steal while immobilized), or someone counters your stealth.

I regularly stream the Ghost Thief build, perma invis killing and stomping. The enemy doesn’t even see you once if you do it correctly.

When people mock others who die to the build, they just don’t realise what they’re against. A smart ghost wont burn all their Condi on a high-cleansing target (Shout Warrior/Guardian, D/D Water attuned Ele, ect ect ect). They’d save the big damage things like Steal and one Trap, that’s more than enough to kill someone with 0 clear left. Plus, the fight lasts for as long as I want it too, since I can follow you with SB-5 whilst perma invis from Traps and Steal. If you stand your ground, I’ll just D/P 2+5 to stay around forever.

The counters to the build are as follows (In order of what kittens the build the most):

1. Reveal Trap [Costs 10 Supply to place]
2. Taunt from Ranger Pets
3. Standing in my Black Powder
4. That AOE Engi ability that reveals
5. Perma Chill (Longer cooldowns on Traps can kill you)
6. Sick’em from Rangers

It is fun, but not strong enough to be a meta. The enimies killed by traps are just not know what happened, and the whole attacks of this build is trap, trap, trap, lack of mobility and can’t suport teamates. If enimies keep moving and do something counter stealth, just can do nothing with this build.
