Guild Wars 2

What I am wanting to do as a Thief is make good use of Stealth and Crit/Crit DMG.
I want to be able to tail people in WvW, and be good at scouting/thinning the herd.
I have been liking the use of D/P or S/P + SB currently at level 40, as for a build I am quiet clueless on making one up, I know I want a good mix of sustainable dps with enough survivability to tough it out when need be.
I would really appreciate the assistance, I have done several searches on these forums as well as others and youtube, but everyone seems to have a different opinion on weapon combos and specs, so it’s hard for a new thief like myself to be able to come up with a sound opinion on things, so please help.

From your post, I think you’re sounding like you have a potential love affair with being a Dagger/Pistol thief. That’s about as critty and stealthy as you can be with the Black Powder + Heartseeker + Backstab deal.

I haven’t tried any of the Power/Crit builds yet, so, other folks will chime in and help ya out I’m sure. On paper, D/P is a very nice set where all the skills seem to have a place while working together.

Oh thanks for the quick reply, I do enjoy D/P + SB they all seem to work well together for what I am wanting to do, I’ll look around for a build to follow, unless you have one handy?

If you want raw Crit/Crit Damage without relying on stealth, you should try S/D – 25/30/0/15/0 build. You can switch up the 15 pts to which ever traits you need, but the bulk of the damage will come from DA and CS.
