Guild Wars 2

So been playing my thief as a main for a couple months now. Just love the mobility and burst damage numbers. I have tried making a mesmer and warrior alt because I like dungeons, but at the end if the day, its the challenge and maybe some skins your after. So I always go back to my thief. I’ve decided to try and get the dungeon master title with him for a challenge. Currently working on putting a group together with guildies who want to do the same and learn to work together since in my experience, path 3’s are where things tend to fall apart lol

So between that goal, trying to get ascended rings and trinkets and possibly a pvt or complete valk gear with a skin I like, world bosses and helping guild mates, aswell as map completion(65 percent) and finishing personal story( level 72) and honing my wvw, I’ve started thinking about legendaries.

I saw a female thief the other day with the dagger(in venerate I think it’s called) and the flaming sword gw1 users got. It was a pretty cool setup.

I’m a big fan of sword/x even before the flanking strike buff. I loved the 30 shadow art line with regen and blind on stealth. That and the mobility and aoe made general pve a breeze and familiar dungeon content was easy.

I got a fuse skin on my bow. It’s my go to weapon when I’m in new territory. I had te ticket for awhile. I checked the weapons out and thought meh, looks like destroyer stuff. Finally decided to use it and WOW!!! my bow is on fire. It’s like my legendary wannabe.

I thought of dagger but if I decide to use dagger dagger, I like them to match. I can’t see myself with a legendary bow, too feminin. I was leanin towards bolt I guess. Haven’t seen too many lengendary pistols around but again sword/pistol to me is kind of a pve thing and the matching thing comes up again for p/p.

Just curious as to what others think.

I need some gold lol. I was checking out ascended back pieces and I’d love to have the quiver but the 250 powerful blood is pricey. Even if I farmed it I estimated it at about 75 gold since they go for a minimum of 30s on tp. Between that and the human t3 I want( currently running t2), I’m stumped on where to start lol.

I couldn’t choose between Bolt or Incinerator, so I got them both.

I would have been working toward, or have gotten by now, the pistol “Quip”. However, I just couldn’t get past the weapon skin and sound. I do not like it.

Not really fond of the already ultra-limited selection of legendaries for thieves, so I’m saving up for future expansions.

If I find myself with a surplus of components, I may consider Bolt… The Dreamer is too girly for my taste… giant zippos not really attract me as a fighting weapon, and I’ll probably end up blowing my head after a prolonged session of Quip usage.

Dreamer = for girls
Bolt = nice looking weapon, but I don’t use swords
Incinerator = looks like a butane torch, but is pretty nice
Quip = Like dreamer, feels like we’re being trolled by Anet…

I know this is lame but I’m gonna say it, I want katana skins, ninjato skins, kunai skins, wolverine claws skins and I want a Mai Shiranui “Fan”

While the Dreamer is indeed girly, what with the rainbows and unicorns, I feel that it is the ultimate trolling weapon even beyond Quip.

Last night, I actually had a Yak’s Bend Guardian alt-f4/logout after I downed him (no idea why since you still get the bag). I can only imagine the increased rage he would have had if I had been pewpew’ing him with rainbows and unicorns.

I don’t like the Dreamer or Quip much, mainly the Quip since the Dreamer is at least horrifying as hell for a weapon.

Luckily Incinerator and Bolt are my 2 favorite Legendarys. I choose Incinerator though and don’t have the drive to go for another one, plus you can’t offhand sword so it gets less use outa different builds. 2 Incinerators are a bad idea imo, cuz at any moment they could release a new awesome dagger that I’d rather off-hand instead.

I was never a fan of any of the legendaries, but after getting the molten gauntlets, I’ve considered getting incinerator. When I considered the time investment involved, I decided to grab a fiery sword, Firebringer (~90g to craft) instead.

Honestly, I don’t like any of the current legendaries as I prefer much more subtle looking things. What I would give for a dagger that dripped small globlets of poison or something.

When I was deciding which legendary to work towards, I ultimately chose Quip and have never looked back. I went for it mainly because I did and still do not really like the looks and effects of Incinerator (Welding torch.. yeah..) and how Bolt’s sound effect got nerfed (Lightning surrounds you all the time, yet remains completely silent unless you hit something? No thanks). As for the Dreamer, I just don’t like ponies and rainbows that much—apart from that, I think it’s still unique and overall nicely designed.

Quip itself is a matter of taste, sure. I can understand why engineers or pistol thieves who’d rather have something more “serious” are hugely disappointed and/or even mad about it. Yet I don’t get tired of firing a barrage of confetti and colourful stripes while making completely out-of-place sounds and glowing purple. The latter is especially true for WvWvW.

I have incinerator and I love it! Was going to go for Bolt but the charged lodestones changed my mind. Now I’m working on Dreamer so I can take my girly shortbow and shoot people in the face with rainbows and unicorns!

i have dreamer and about to make bolt and incinerator….however i may wait til anet changes the way precursors are gotten. dreamer i wish i could sell now after the nerf :/

I’ve always been amused by Thieves with the Dreamer shortbow.

• Bouncing unicorns with trickshot.

• Seeing a unicorn hit the ground and “transform into a thief” with Infiltrator’s Arrow.

I definitely agree with this statement. Thief is all about trolling (well, at least sometimes) and Quip/Dreamer are the ultimate troll weapons. I love them both and would take either over Incinerator/Bolt in a heartbeat.

Unicorns are whats up

I’ll admit any day that I’m jealous of Thieves and Rangers since they can use shortbow … Mesmers have butterflies … we need unicorns too! It’d match nicely with my Princess Wand skin on my scepter ;-)

I would like the incinerator. For what concerns the unicorn shortbow.. meh. I would be enormously embarassed by that thing.
