The worst part?
She PLAYS a Thief!
She knows full well we’re hurting and being ignored!

Thief dev needs to listen to our concerns… There will be so much salt now..

He doesn’t, that’s why there’s so much salt.

Dont forget! Druids also can have an aoe stealth + superspeed, and they can trait for perma swiftness……

No where near as bad as Thief and Dare Devil are right now….Just saying. Tempest and DH are still at least good……There is nothing good about Dare Devil when you look at the big picture.

In the big picture they are somewhat at the same level it is just that ele and guard are not as “bad” as thief I don’t understand the idea behind Tempest(RIP signet condi ele) and Acro dying for DD and another melee weapon but DH interested me shortly. DD can still roleplay.

I’m waiting for skill balance preview before I start spreading doom.

Ruby currently loves her thief and is very forthright about it.

Rubi – god bless her soul – is about as casual of a player as you can get.

You think she dwells deep into the root of the problem and look at systematically like some of the serious thief mains? no, she logins and just plays around, has fun, which means, in her eyes, thief is fine. You ask any casual player, they will say “yea i love my class, its awesome! theres nothing wrong with it at all!”

You can do that in this game so long as you don’t care about being competitive .

I 100 percent agree. My main point was that if you’re looking for an advocate to talk about all that’s wrong with the class… Ruby’s not your gal.

My real problem though isn’t really about it being viable or not (which IS a problem still).
It’s just that we get NOTHING new. You’ve played a thief and are somewhat bored ? Nothing in the Daredevil is going to give you a fresh new experience.

You get just 1 extra starting dodge and clunky and boring animations… making it better off sticking with the core thief if you value the visual.

We need to let them know that the poor efforts of our elite spec are way too obvious. Daredevil, Tempest and Dragon Hunter are easily the worst elite specs that have been developed.

And Guardian major components are vanishing because some elites spec does the job better (Herald, Scrapper and Druid now…).

And Guardian major components are vanishing because some elites spec does the job better (Herald, Scrapper and Druid now…).

Same problem with the Thief’s Stealth (Mesmer does that now) and for those of us, myself included, who were not that kind of Thief—the Revenant does fast melee fighting better than we do, now… not to mention it also provides a little team support as well, in terms of the vuln stacking like mad and other things.

That extra-strength kittened me off, actually.
They’ve been telling us “Just dodge! You can dodge! You’re mobile, did you think about trying to dodge?” all along, and it hasn’t really been up to snuff all along, but we’ve managed… but now it’s going to be entirely useless, and they don’t even care.
