Thematically, Whispers seems the obvious choice. But armor lacking a Power stat? I’m wondering if Vigil might be a useful choice. Can’t hurt for a Thief to have some Toughness and Vitality, no?

Or is the Condition damage that much better to have than the Power? Ok, it depends on the build, but I guess part of the question is which type of build provides more DPS: a build based around Power or one based around Condition Damage? I know that mobility is our strength, but the sooner enemies die …

Also, I don’t know the personal story implications of this choice. My wife plays a Guardian and is choosing Vigil. Would it make sense to join her in the Order so that we have similar personal story objectives, or are there other considerations I should be aware of?

Armor skins are probably the only thing I thought of when I made my choice. I haven’t bothered with buying any of the armor for stats. You can get better stuff via other means.

Some of the skins are nice depending on the order you choose. To me, the medium armor doesn’t look too great from any of the orders (on a female). The only one i liked remotely was the Vigil armor, so i went there instead.

As for the rest of your question: That’s hard to say- Depends on your play style.

Don’t worry about stats, you’ll probably end up wearing crafted gear, dungeons gear or karma gear before you waste gold on any of the faction sets, which are so expensive it’s dumb. Just go for looks or story. Go with the story that interests you the most, or if you wanna play with your wife, go ahead and pick vigil.

I gotta say Whispers’ storyline is way more fun than Vigil. If you’re looking for interesting quests and an incredibly humorous storyline go Whispers.

I went whispers, and have been thoroughly extremely satisfied with my choice.

All people are different, but the muscle-head approach of the Vigil didn’t really interest me.

The Priory did somewhat, I had to sit down and weigh Priory vs Whispers. Both seemed like great options.

where does one get this armor?

Same decision process here and just went whispers after seeing the quest options for the actual final decision. Pretty happy with the follow ups so far I’m only a bit past the decision point to L35
