Thief is actually very fun in my oppinion, but the problem is, i cant have any epic weapons to show off
i mean some of the daggers look really cool, but i walk around town and see this huge charr guy with an AMAZING greatsword on his back, and then i look aat my poor little toothpicks… im ashamed
even shortbow is kind of small, and the biggest weapon is sword, which i dont like…
i pity asura thieves :< their weapons are probably microscopic o.o

nope, there are very nice dagger skins later in the game. Also I love my pirated short bow!

Seriously, we get the best looking armor from early in the game. I swagger past the other classes in their clunky metal or suffocating robes and know I’ve just raised the resale value of every house on the block. Keep your oversized swords that everyone will see coming a mile away … while you’re marveling at my fine clothing I’m either stealing your purse or stabbing you in the gut – probably both.

You want big swords reroll a warrior or guardian. Thieves are thieves

I know what you mean about the greatsword…they look like Ragnarok sword from FF7. Cool stuff. But, you wont have the great sword if you are, lets say, an elementalist.

I wouldnt be so quick to regret your class choice because of that. Chances are, after 50 levels of running around with that big ole sword, you’ll be tired of looking at it.

I was wondering… Where did the guys get that amazing hats in early game?

I’m pretty sure he’s talking about anonymity hood. I’m 80 and it’s the only hat I ever wore (using transmutation stones). All others pale in comparison.

Well I just got a large gear sword on my norn thief. Is it as large as a great sword, no. But it is a big broad and jagged looking blade that breaks out of the toothpicky sad look mentioned above and looks super. same with the gear dagger it is more of a shortsword with a huge bayonet at the top of the blade.

Really! You started with one.

I rolled a Norn Guardian, my friends rolled Azura misc’s. They commented the first time we grouped about how huge I was but I didn’t see it.

Noticed it when I rolled and Azuran thief and started SPvP though, first match thought a Norn warrior was an NPC. Massive.

I like the look of both tbh, although Norn racial armour wins hands down.

It’s from an npc next to the fight with the claw of jormag, one of jormag’s lieutenants, in frostgorge sound. You need to buy the recipe (for a few silver) but the recipe requires corrupted lodestones, which i heard are very hard to obtain.

Can anyone confirm that those are Corrupted Shards?

i also dont feel the need to show off as you say. but most of my friends dont get it, lol.

I get you very well. I have exactly the same opinion.
Simple look and steel daggers are the way to go :P

I accidentally deleted my anonymity hat.. Is there a way to get it back?

I’m in the less-is-more camp too, Fiery Dragon Sword not withstanding. Hat and shoulders off, unflashy gear (soon to be replaced with guild armor though). WoW and their ridiculous armor (shoulders in particular) just drove me insane. We’re thieves, sticking out is antithical to what we do.

As a thief you’re not supposed to be showing off. You’re supposed to be cackling sadistically after stabbing someone in the back.
