Tool Kit: Updated Magnet to allow it to pull a target the full distance to you if the target was near maximum range.

You realize scorpion wire has the EXACT same problem right? Right??? Hello?

Powerful Aura: Increased the effective radius of this trait from 360 to 600.

Venomous aura could really use the same treatment.

Yeah I mean, here we have two very obvious fixes & buffs being given to other classes, to other skills and traits which function identically to ours, and we’re getting nothing.

What gives? Is there a compelling balance reason that Eles should be able to spread their auras at a 600 range, but we can spread our venoms at the same range?

Is there a compelling balance reason that the UTILITY scorpion wire should remain broken when the TOOLBELT skill is getting fixed?

If so… please explain them… if not, why are you leaving the thief in such a broken state…

Would prolly be one of the most used thief skills if it worked.

Gap Closer with 15 seconds CD, removes condition, interrupts and knockdown?

I’m sure all devs but ours are playing the thief to take example on how NOT to design a class.

The sad part is its likely true.

Overload of complaints and feedback. I may dislike most of the changes “he who knows his name” made recently but a part of me reminds me that someone has to save DH and Tempest on top of thief and DD but something like this any dev could have made happen. What are you doing behind your forum posts?

I think it’s that they’re happy with the changes.

I think so too. I’m tempted to make a post telling people how weak we really are (spoiler, the truth may surprise you) but then I think of how many numbers and calculations I have to pull and I’m lazy. We are bad, but not impotent. Correction: We are very very bad, but not impotent.

They haven’t decided to nerf SB#5yet,anything works in PvE or WvW and they obviously have to sell DD so some thieves will be alive. I kind of rerolled to necro but I do sometimes get back on thief trying to find something positive about my usual specs. It’s an undeserved pain.

Necro was my second main. Math alone, Thief should win. But then you remember all the tools everyone has and its just cry worthy at points. Last time I lost to a Thief was around 2 months ago. =( I miss the thrill. Thief is my main, Necro main alt. And I’ve been slowly pushed to Necro. Now I’m having loads more fun on Nec than Teef because I can pump backstabs for close to 20 seconds without getting revealed or thoroughly punished. I make jokes about outplaying where I turn ds on and just auto people. Won a 1v2 that way, made me giggle a bit.

They will always be OP as long as stealth and unaware people exist. Don’t need numbers to prove that. Plus as long as Magic Toker keeps playing in leagues, he will be the justification that we’re meta/op.

Guys, guys, let’s be reasonable – it’s not that they have some onus against the Thief. It’s that they’re just not very competent.
