World Completion
As a thief, you can pretty much solo everything for map completion, including Orr. Btw, what do you refer to when you say water places?
And on the open world, pretty much anything goes, but if you really, really want something optimized for World Completion… i’ve slapped together a build in 5 mins for you.
A super random build that is virtually useless in everything else besides getting from Point A to Point B quickly.
reasoning:
Full SA line for tankiness, and stealth duration for high lvl areas, allowing you to skip champion in Orr to obtain skillpoints.
Full berserker for burst dmg, making up for lack of dmg traits.
4 in Acrobatics: Gain swiftness when dodging, reduce fall dmg by 50%, gain an extra dodge, and a free sigil of Speed. Feel free to replace this with anything and get a sigil of speed on a dagger.
4 in trickery for extra initiative and boons from stealing, 3 extra initiative and chance of regaining initiative from attacking.
Dagger/Dagger for Burst dmg (killing something gives swiftness), almost perma stealth with proper CnD timing, and HEARTSEEKER.
S/P just for trash cleaning, and an extra shadowstep.
How to use:
- Heartseeker all day to move quickly (turn off auto targeting).
- Kill random mobs for swiftness/bloodlust stacks. You get perma swiftness.
- Use steal and roll for initiative when you need extra initiaive.
Basically, that’s it. Don’t go using this build in anything but open world exploration tho.

I even solo’d the enemy citadel’s in WvW. Those legendary NPC’s got nothing on that invulnerability that I get from being in stealth.
