I’m not really sure what was going on in the last clip. I got downed by a 4k hit from someone, but everyone around was downed and I was in stealth at the time. Oh well, fun fight anyway

Not too shabby, I do kind of resent you though because now I know there’s a Ke$ha song I actually like. xD

Is this the same setup you would have used without the orbs?
Loved the video it gave me much hope for my thief. I was very sad when I saw event at 80 only 10.8k hp. Wondering if I should invest in vitality at all or just go for damage. pick target kill it leave and come back again.

While culling doesnt have the thief pop up after stealth the damage output can be huge on targets that dont know what happened to them in the small window.

Mug+BS+HS not including boons is enough to take down all but the most hardened targets. Assuming they fix the problem, things should change quite a bit for thieves. I dont think well see people as glass cannon as they are now. Now without some def abilities.

Thank you for the reply. In regards to when you say thief needs quite a bit of changes. What do you think needs changes?

I have only been playing thief a short time but from what I can see unless ANET wants to toss on enough defense that the thief can stand toe to toe with anyone the pure damage build will be one of the best choices. I would probably still build strait glass canon even if it took me 2 or even 3 backstabs to kill someone. And undoubtedly people will still then complain about the damage being to high.

Should the thief damage be nerfed right now (like happened to PW) with no major buffs to base defensive stats?

what build are you using in order to achive this damage and have this amount of HP?

Hmmm it would be really nice if people would post their builds when they post these kinds of videos.

I’m actually not full berserker. I took valkyrie weapons for the extra hp at a loss of about 5% crit chance. I also have the 5% prec > vit trait and and use +vit foods.

Unbuffed with no orbs or food I have 14.5k hp.

I hope that I can one day get good enough at this class to play like that. The part where you are deep in the enemy blob ganking people was awesome. You own. Thanks for sharing your build. Hopefully your video will make me better, cause man, I suck.

How important do you feel that 33% move speed in stealth trait is?

Thanks! I’m on the fence about the move speed. I used to use might on dodge and the fall trait. With signet of shadows already I’m not gaining a ton of speed from it, but It can sometimes be the difference between a full damage backstab and having to hit from the front. There are several good options for 10 in Acro, and you can’t really go wrong with most of them.

What armor, runes, and sigils are you using?

I have a mix of knights and valkyrie armor/trinkets, and my HP is way way less than yours. My low HP is definately a liability.

All berserker armor/trinkets with valkyrie weapons. Runes of divinity. I have 14.5k unbuffed, the extra health in the video is from orbs and food.

I will have to look into foods. =)

Ah no I dont agree, I will only play glass cannons, mostly becuase thats my style and Im good at it but because I enjoy popping kids for 16k backstabs. And it gives me that thrill to run from them if I fail to kill them, then I struggle to survive.
