Orly. I didnt know that, thank you very much sir
Thanks for the build Kylar. I’ve been having a hard time wrapping my head around some of the other thief builds out there but this one “clicked” with me. Enough so, that I spent the last of my coin getting my own thief set up with it.
Now that I’m poor again, I’m hoping I can put it to good use in WvW so that I can refill my coffers.

No problem like i said, i really enjoy it when im roaming in WvW so hopefully you will too
Honestly, if you like the cannon part of glasscannon, 10/30/30 is such a good investment, its what i role

Yea i think its a great combination of Burst dmg and livability at the same time.
I just wanted to note that, in your video, you say that you can blind a Warrior, Ranger, and Guardian and their downed state abilities will miss. This is true, but it also works for Engineers and Necromancers. — Additionally, Shadowstep can also be used to stomp pesky Mesmers. [Only recommend doing this when the fight is over or you know you can waste the ability for some sick skill stomps xD]
Overall, this is a good build that I have tested before. I highly recommend it to players who are skilled but only play backstab with 25/30/0/0/15. Though, I prefer a little more toughness.
P.S. Please do not underestimate Dagger Storm for WvW. It’s very viable and saves my life a lot. I prefer Basilisk Venom in sPvP, or smaller, group coordinated, fights.

Yea, i just was giving the base of character classes off the top of my head that can be blinded xD, i sometimes use shadowstep to stomp thieves and mesmers, although thats only if thats the last of the people im fighting, or else its a waste of an amazing utility. I found that you can do more damage over time with more toughness than dps stats, so i really recommend trying this build out.
Currently leveling my thief (15 atm) and like the look of this build.
What order would you recommend getting the traits?

If you run with infiltrator’s signet, it’s easier to “throw” away the utility for a stomp kill. The passive is just a little bonus anyway, not game changing. I also found that the blind isn’t rly reliable, they can easily get rid of the blindness with a quick attack on someone else. For guardians I use shadowstep to get a stomp kill.
(ps: I prefer getting a stomp kill than reserving my utility when there are 2 of my friends downed who can be revived instantly with just that kill)

That is a GREAT point and while I’m sure lots of us are mindful of things like this, it’s great to put it out there.

I run signet of shadows not for the blind, but for the Passive 25% movement speed to get around the map and have more mobility. Using it to blind an attack is just another kinda neat trick that it can be used for
:UPDATE: New build video has been posted on my friends channel, and that is where all of my gameplay with this build will be posted to, so make sure to subscribe to his channel, and stay tuned for more action! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuaJ08VWNKY
The video is being reuploaded to fix a few minor issues. It’ll be live at http://youtu.be/_POcBZKtBb4 in roughly half an hour.
Sorry for the wait guys, having some technical difficulties, hopefully a new video will be posted soon. Stay tune!
This is a very similar to a build I heavily recommend to all of the Thieves in my guild try.
10/30/30/0/0 with full Valk gear is very potent, and very durable.
It’s my second-favorite Thief build behind my D/D Condition build.

It’s most likely because you can say goodbye to your burst if your ennemy EVER sees that you have the Basilisk Venom activated.
How do you manage to not to dry out of initiatives?
Inflitration strike removes a condition each time.. Isnt it better to remove Shadow Embrace for Infusion of Shadow??
Anyhow seems like a pretty common build this days.. I am more fan of 10/30/10/20 tho.. but I do miss the venom aura in guild fights
Just letting you know that your link to the build does not appear to be functioning.
