hey guys! I made a good build for commanding as a thief. i tested it out and it works fine. i got some requests to make a thief commander build this is what i made of it:

1.0 Why choose a thief commander?
Lots of guys think the thief is squishy and dies within seconds in zerging. This is not true. Ive proven it with this build. The thief has the best escape abillity off all classes in gw2. it has a good elite skill and has a high mobility. And ton of supportive abillities if build right. This is why i choose a condi d/d /shortbow build. because of the good aoe damage and the line up with the traits.
1.1 tactics
When your commanding lets say 30 vs 30. You will stack up might etc etc first. you can do this standard way like your used to. to get your own might up use shadow refuge. With the buff of 50% less damage you can litterly charge in with the zerg and steal over the guardian knockdown walls. Target a warrior or guardian so you have a big chance to steal the stability boon. the rest of the zerg will just charge in because they will still see your tag even when in stealth. when your zerg arived for the clash you activate daggerstorm. Because of your dire gear you will not die this quick and your conditions will deal good damage. when the storm end use your cluster shot to just cause conditions all around you when rushing trough with your zerg. Double tap to cause more conditions and single tap to cause blast finishers when they are needed. The dagger combi is pure for death blossom in smaller fights and for cloak and dagger stealth.
2. When losing the fight
Dont worry, use your 2 stun breakers to get away easy and stealth with blinding powder to retreat. your zerg will tag allong when they have the chance.
3. Why use condition damage instead of power?
Simple, because condi damage stack up way harder then power does in compare. Direct damage is better with lots of classes but since a thief lacks a good aoe damage abillity cluster arrow will do way better with all the aoe conditions you can add. Heartseeker and sword abillity’s work aswell but you have to freeze in the middle of the zerg to use them basicly. When you hearthseek you go to fast your your zerg to follow up. Plus most time you target something and if they passed you hearthseeker will jump you back.
4. Alternative runes and traits.
Runes and sigils: Runes of the undead for extra condi damage and toughness.
Sigil of Corruption: If you want more condi damage instead of toughness go for this
rune.
Infusions: go ahead and pick the ones you like not really incalculated in my build.
Traits and utillity:
Change might on dodge for vigor on heal.
Change slowpulse for Condi removal at shadow arts.
Change Withdraw skill for Hide in shadows.
Change Roll for initiative for shadowstep.
Change Roll for initiative for Signet of Agility.
