Drop your points in the 2nd on the list, guard defense. Then watch you overall HP go up.

This only helps against guards which are no threat anyway, doesn’t it?

Gives your character over all more hp. A thief buddy went from 17 to 20k, I’ve only gone up 1k hp from 17 to 18k. I maxed my ac first and then had regret. So I posted this to save others.

So it adds to your vitality/HP and doesn’t just reduce damage that you take from guards? o.O

This sounds like a bug that will be ninjaed soon.

The only thing that increases your HP is once you reach the final upgrade, where you get vitality stacks per each guard you kill, which usually totals around ~2.5K total HP. I was experimenting with this and full Sentinel’s armor and was able to achieve 30.5K(with WvW robust buff & food) on a thief.

How many points do you need for it?

You need 109 points for it in total. It’s not a bug (been there since release). Only with the recent patches they buffed the vitality (used to be 25*5 and not 50*5 if i’m not mistaken)

Yep. With five stacks you get 250 vitality until you die. Every zerg will buff up on camps before they engage on the field. Its completely ridiculous. I dunno what they were thinking tbh.
