WvW, trying out D/P & SB...attack rotation?
I like to imagine it’s less rotating and more using the best skill at your disposal for a situation.

I think people like combos because it takes that part out.

That’s why they play dd eles? ;D
Oh, and THE ANSWER on your quastion:
5-2-1
BTW was just trolling around on wvw with my 0/30/10/30/0 d/p 1v5, so much fun (:
It’s nearly d/d unicorn, but with blinds+stealth instead of evade.

I just switched to d/p recently but am still using 10/30/30/0/0. Could I see your 0/30/10/30/0 build? I’m sure the extra dodging can outweigh the healing from Shadow’s Rejuvenation, but I feel like I’d have too little condition removal without Shadow’s Embrace since I’m assuming you use Infusion of Shadow in your build. I’d love to see what yours is.

I feel the same. It’s still Embrace… Thinking of dropping it,

Hi,
I’m wondering why people rave over D/P builds.
Well, look at it this way. Many people know the merits of D/D.
D/P is like D/D, except you have a cheap on demand shadowstep + blind instead of garbage Death Blossom, an awesome interrupt for heals/stomps/100b etc instead of garbage Dancing Dagger, a pulsing AoE blind for destroying melee as pure bonus, and although your method of stealthing costs 3 extra Initiative, it also deals significantly more initial damage, blinds anyone around you, and can be used freely without having to hit someone.
Basically, as far as I know, its better in every way. The one and only downside is the lack of AoE, but D/D AoE is only good with condition damage anyway which clashes with every other skill in the set.

Oh, god… That’s not it.
Downside is speed of performing the “killing move” and having 7+ ini (10% damage) while doing it.

Well yeah, you can’t do the usual Mug+CnD+BS insta-kill against weak targets. That’s gimicky and unreliable anyway and close to getting nerfed even more.
D/P you want to concenrate on traits that give you alot of initivite and give you initivite while in stealth.
with Dagger pistol you drop blinding power and hit heartseeker right away. when using heartseeker through the powder you will stelath.
when you heartseeker to someone you will do damage but stay in stealth then heartseeker over the powder again to get more stealth
try it out in LA..
5 > 2 > 2> 2> 5 > 2 > 2 > 2
just drop the power heartseeker out, heartseeker back over and again you’ll stay in stealth…
i watched a thief doing this the other day.. i can see the blinding powder but not him so all i coulod see is this red circle popping up in front of me then the circle will be further
i came across one watching a camp just spamming it into a wall to stay stealth
so much fun
