(note i swap shadow refuge for caltrops and thieves guild for dagger storm pending situations)

I am rocking this now for end game PVE and dungeons sprinkled with some WVW here and there. I do have an alternative spec for WVW and PVP but if I am feeling lazy will use this and it seems to get me by. I am at the point where I am gearing out my toon with exotic gear and I am having trouble deciding on how to spec. I was leaning towards Condition DMG>precision/toughness>everything else. But after reading some posts I am told that condition DMG starts to taper off after 1200. Would it be worth gearing my spec more towards condition dog/precision>toughness>everything else? Or maybe throw in more of a focus on power and vitality? My spec play style is mostly skirmishing. I jump in and out a lot and rarely get hit, when I do I can recover fairly easily unless I get locked down and repeatedly hit. I mainly use death blossom and auto attack with daggers. If the enemy is low I will use a heart seeker or a back stab. W/ Bow I use pretty much everything situation pending. Anyway any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I’d consider vitality over toughness (that’s how I’m rolling). I’ve noticed a better benefit in the extra health for soaking up condition damage rather than toughness/melee damage. not sure how your built (link doesn’t work) but that’s my 2 cents.

Thief Doesnt benefit from vitality as much as say a warrior or necro.

Also, Your heal heals you for a set amount, no matter which way you look at it, the more vit you have the harder it is to fill your bar, the more toughness, the easier it is to fill your bar with heal…

You are more prone to being 1 shot with a toughness build, but overall I prefer it

Hmm, having trouble posting it, not sure why.
it is D/D with SB off set
using Hide in Shadows for my heal
swapping between caltrops and shadow refuge for #7
roll for initiative on #8
Signet of shadows on #9
swapping between dagger storm and thieves guild for my elite
0/20/25/0/25 for traits
for critical strikes I picked practiced tolerance and combo crit chance
for Shadow arts I picked infusion of shadow and hidden thief
for trickery I picked Thrill of the crime and bountiful theft
As far as runes go on armor I am leaning towards a full set of rune of the undead which gives a lot of condition dmg and some toughness followed by 5% of toughness goes towards condition damage.
I have a sigil of blood on each dagger which gives me 30% chance on crit to steal life with a 2 second cool down. On my bow I have a sigil of earth which has a 60% chance on crit to add bleeding.

Just trying to figure out If I should shift my focus away from condition damage and balance it out more or stay with condition dmg >precision/toughness.

I am not trying to build an Uber DPS class or anything, more of a balance between survival and dmg with some support thrown in.

So far my build seems to be working end game But I dont have exotic gear yet and I wanted to iron out what I build for before I spend the time and money.

Some friends suggested I have condition/precision/toughness on my armor and then go for power/precision/Vit on my jewelry. Not sure if that spread is good or not.

I will say the constant stealthing to drop targets helps an amazing amount with survival in addition to the rapid evading and ability to get out of dodge when needed. Sit back and pew pew pew with SB for a while if I need to.

Thanks for the replies thus far, would love more input

(also if you copy and paste the link into your URL bar it does work if you want)
