Is this still a viable build set for solo roaming?

Considering we fail hard at Zergs and SPvP, pretty much any available build nowadays is good at scouting/roaming.

Most common build is:
0
30 – Practiced Tolerance – Furious Retaliation – Hidden Killer
30- Infusion Shadow – Patience – Shadow’s Rejuvenation
10 – Fleet Shadow
0

You may:
- Susbtitute Patience for Cloaked in Shadows OR Shadow’s Embrace when you start getting used to control your Initiative.
- You may need to use a Infiltrator Sign on bar until you get used to the initiative as well.
- You may change Furious Retaliation for “Side Strikes” if you feel like it. Or use both by not using Practiced Tolerance
- Hidden Killer can be changed for Executioner if you are using Assassin/Berserk gear and at least one trait that gives Fury
- You may change those 10 points in Acrobatics to trickery for access to Thrill of The Crime or Long Reach. That’s also pretty awesome.

Valkyrie Gear is your best friends. You may change to Berserk if you don’t mind being a bit more squishy.
Berserk is in a general way better than Assassin Stats. Not stops you from using though, effect wise its close to the same.

Berserk acessories, always. Though I already heard of some people going for Half/ Knights

Utilitys are Infiltrator Signet/Shadow Signet, Blinding Power or Shadow Refuge, Shadow Step.

Elite use Dagger Storm.

Healing you may use Withdrawn or Hide on Shadows. Whatever suits you better.

Runes use full Beryls or Rubys Orbs, Travelers Runes, Lyssa Runes or Divinity Runes.
Sigils: Force, Night and Fire are our common bets.

Food to your preference.

also i did this build in only like 5 minutes so, feel free to change stuff, personally i’d go for signet of shadows instead of blinding powder but up to you

It is amazing how often people say p/d and it’s interpreted as d/p. I don’t play p/d anymore but there are a few iterations that all work well. 0/0/30/20/20, 10/0/30/0/30, 5/0/30/20/15 and i’m sure there are more. It’s pretty cheap to change traits so try them all.

In my experience, carrion is the best stat type for p/d and I’d suggest focusing on +bleed duration rather than +condition damage. Others may disagree, it’s a personal preference item. Overall you get a lot more damage from +bleed duration but you’re more susceptible to the opponent cleansing.

I’ll let people who play it currently give you more specifics.

I don’t always play P/D because it can be difficult to down skilled players who can cleanse a lot of conditions, but that is the build that I use.

I know the agony sigil is pretty much a waste because Im already at 50% duration, but its what I have on my set because I havent bothered to change it.

I like 10 points in both DA and Trickery so I can pick up an extra major as opposed to splitting 5/15 in those trees.

I tried full dire gear but found the extra armor completely unecessary, and I prefer half carrion to keep some power behind my pistol shots.

The runes are a hard choice for me… but I settled on scavengers, because even though they lack duration, the raw damage they provide plus the extra survival from lifesteal is just too good imo.

Energy on the shortbow because I usually only swap to it to retreat, so it serves me well.

As for p/d being still viable to roam with.. I still enjoy it more than melee builds. I feel pretty much invincible, I rarely ever die. Between dodging, regen/10 sec regen boon in stealth, condition cleanse in stealth, high vit/toughness, lifesteal from runes, and heal from Mug, this build is so easy to stay alive with. The downside of course is that certain players/builds just wont die to your bleeds/torment spam. I try to hit with torment and keep poison up with steal/spider venom, but still, you just cant kill everyone with this build.

One thing I like is that for almost every major trait slot, there are so many options you can go with. I switch out major traits almost constantly depending on what Im fighting.

Never, ever, ever, ever use caltrops on dodge. If you wont play alone, a direbuild is pretty neat for annoyance. Ppl will get mad at you and try to kill you over your bursting friends. For soloroaming however, going carrion with 20 in DA yields better results, as you will deal more dps to wear down enemies with a few cleanses. Consider using traveler runes. They do have condiduration and 30 condidamage, but the real deal is that you gain one utility. if you want to use devourer venom and caltrops to bleedbomb you might want to have a SR/BP/SS for defense.

I actually went with 2 lyssa/4 mad kings slotted in carrion armor on top of pizza to get more duration out of bleeds, torment, and cripple.
