well out side of the fact that zerg did not engage in to that convex instantly wipe you. you could of chain CnD walk around in the zerg to find a target.
Thief seems to suffer alot in large scale fights, when you get 5s or so skill lag and 1s of stealth, especially if you run fairly squishy or even full Marauders.
Detonating Cluster bombs seems alright to me and Cluster bomb is an excellent blast finisher; it’s just not reliable offensively without detonating, not sure Choking Gas really is that useful nowadays though.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.

I don’t think it is really possible with today’s date of gw2. There a a lot more passive defence and blocks denying cnd, not to mention the amount of aoe dropped. Also people are a lot wiser since when you could chain cnd back when d/d meta was shadow arts.
On the contrary about there isn’t much left with d/d. Started playing it again and it’s actually a pretty good dueler, it struggles a bit vs ranger who know how to play or anything pew pew ish. You can toe to toe vs warriors as long as you death blossom their burst and kite with dash. Recording some fights so i will post them

i would agree with most zerg fights it unreliable to try an do it but there was so much open ground in that zerg fight you could of gotten away with it pretty effectively

I don’t get what you mean, sorry.
I kept my distance because a) I’m a thief, b) I’m a valk/zerker thief, c) I didn’t know the commanders very well – I can engage more with commanders I do know or those who really know when to push. It would still be suicide to use D/D in a zerg as there’s so many passive blocks, blocks and aegis flying around that the likelihood of landing a CnD is very small.
But you can always make a video so I can finally learn to play =)
ETA: Actually, I and others are pressuring the enemy zerg that’s why they keep their distance. The footage is pretty good anyway as you can see how the two commanders pressure each zerg but work together to finish each off.
I have other footage in which I found my own blob in pretty bad shape and I somehow managed to keep the enemy zerg at bay long enough for my zerg to recover – I have no idea how that even worked but I’m doing that pretty often, so I don’t think it’s just coincidence. In case I’ll make another video that footage will be in.

The part after I used SR – it was impossible for me to time cluster bomb and not letting it detonate (which I didn’t want in that case – yes, I’m still learning after 3 years) – the enemies were already gone when my CB landed – and in fact I sent 3 – no idea what happened to the first. That is just too slow.
Choking gas means : no warrior banner, 30% less heal for those that are being rezzed, and heal from all healing skills in general – it could use an overhaul as well/the sustain of the other classes could use a nerf, but alas, cluster bomb is worse.
In the end, I guess my part in a zerg is due to me and not really my class – just that I like thief the best.
