Are they bad becouse they dont fit in the meta? Or are they bad becouse many poor players chooses to play zerker thieves? Are they really bad in tPvP? I am asking becouse each time I roll a team with 3 thieves (or more lol) its almost a guranteed loss. 2 thieves in my team and it already makes me nervous (“they better be good or else we get stomped”). The fact that 90% of them are full zerker (I can see by how paper-ish they are) does not help. So when I chat with people I often tell them to never go zerker thief in tPvP. But am I correct here? Or I just dont see too many good zerker thieves?

By zerk thief i think u are saying a thief that use Berserk amulet.
They are really good IF u know what u are and what u should be doing.
in Tpvp they are very strong BUT as u said not 3 in a team… just one is enough and ofc 90% of the thieves in tpvp have no idea what they are doing they just want to kill kill kill and thats what make them and the team fail.

Answaring again zerk thieves are not bad IF they know what they are doing and what they are supposed to do to help their team

Many people say Thief are OP and stuff other say they are weak as kitten. The truth is thieves are good but u really need to know what u are doing or u will get ur kitten kicked if ur opponent is a little experienced

As as i said before i think that 90% of thieves are bad they lose to experienced players and call the class weak on the other hand thieves can kill newbie players fast if they dont know what a thief can do and thats why those people call thief OP

The thing about DPS thieves in tournies are that they are meant for group battles only. A zerker thief would not survive against most tank professions in spvp, nor can they cap in stealth. Best bet is to support existing teammates through ranged abilities.

3 of any one class other than mesmer can mean a loss. Thieves are actually one of the better classes you want on your team

5 bunkers can win you a game, I have seen that many times. 5 mesmers can win you a game. Hell, few times I have seen a troll build of 5 asura zoo necros which was also pretty effective. Thieves? I dont know…

A thief gang would be great in WvW roaming and absolutely destroy anything that is not a huge zerg. But in conquest?

I think it just depends who you have playing your thieves. We just won with 2 thieves in group. I am a berserker thief and the other guy was a level 13 P/P thief who stayed on the treb the entire time. He was actually kitten good at hitting people with the treb.

I usually can kill most 1v1 even bunkers and sometimes 1v2. In a team battle I shine best though be I don’t take all the damage and I down enemies quickly when not having to dodge dps all the time.

Just another noob thief…

Having 3 thieves is a bit too much, as is having too many of any other profession (some exceptions) since it’ll deny some vital areas for your overall team setup.
One good thief in your setup is excellent, even two if the team setup is built around it. Best direct damage and an excellent roamer, especially with the new boonrip. Thieves should only run zerker in tpvp, your role is to kill and do maximum damage not to dance ‘ring-around-the-rosie’ with the target. “Sustain” thieves aren’t really a threat in tournas.
