Sure, why not? Firstly, what kind of build are you looking for?
A support-wise examples:
If you get 30 points in shadow arts you can choose between Venomshare and Stealth Heavy. Trickery is also great for support, steal and share 2 boons and 75% vigor uptime and 50% fury/swiftness/might uptime. If you however get shadow arts and trickery, you are better off with a condition build, 10/0/30/0/30 will let you share venoms, life steal and 2 might per venom, or switch out your traits and utilities and have lots of useful utilities for offence and defence, or 30/x/30/x/x will make you deeper into venoms and also be quite viable even with a direct dmg build.
This cannot be done on a thief. Be happy if you can fulfill one role decently.

The healing thief build is the closest to what you are requesting IMO and what I prefer. Really straight forward to play.

eep in mind this is a compromise across the board so it won’t perform as well as a dedicated role build. However it still performs incredibly well in a zerg (at least for a thief) as you are almost unkillable so long as you are in Dagger Storm or Cluster Bombing 4+ players. Avoid circles while on cool down. The skirmish portion is this builds strong suit. Allow other players to damage to 50% and mop up. Make sure to constantly stealth in order to drop target and never over pursue. Roaming is decent but if you know you are going into a fight switch out signet for a control trap.
Shadow Step can be switched out for the hut in the roaming build but you will want to approach condi targets particularly mesmers with great care. SS is essential for skirmish for both the stun break and the ability to run down fast builds.
Couple other notes, mango pie works great with this build but condi will be a problem. Also the trait Descent of Shadows is optional but it has saved my butt and opened up a lot of kills so I keep it. Avoid Mug in the roaming build since it puts a player into combat and slows escapes.
