hi guys, I’ve finally leveled my thief to 80 and I was looking in what armor and runes to buy. I want to run 2/6/0/0/6 with the enhanced steal and executioner trait, in wvw.
On my weapons I want the on crit effect of fire & air.
I’ve looked into sigil’s and it seemed like Superior sigil of the Pack, would fit. maybe any other suggestions?
Regarding the armor, I cannot decide wether to go with the beserker (power, precision/ferocity) or with the assasin (precision, power/ferocity). Does the extra precision synergise well enough with the fireblast and lightning strike to make up for the lost power? What do you recommend?

First what weapon sets are you using?

I use D/P and SB

The choice is not between berserker and assassin; Berserker is better by far. With your build you’ll already have close to 100% without the need to invest into assassin gear – you might want to get a few pieces here and there to cap yourself at 100% but investing into full assassin will put you over the obvious limit.
But for WvW – as an option – you might also interest yourself into Valkyrie’s gear. While you won’t get a lot of critical chance, Hidden Killer will make your backstabs surefire in any case if you forego Executioner.
Keep your mind open for other options… There’s always The Dodger S/D and the Dark Side of Conditions.

You’ll want to run something like full zerk armor, cav rings and backpiece, and valk the rest. The reason I suggest cavalier is because you’ll need the extra armor, trust me. It helps quite a bit.

If you’re going for backstabs I’d say hidden killer over executioner with zerker/valk. Gives that much need health boost that thief naturally lacks, keeps dmg real high and guartunees that your primary damage (backstab) is going to perform and not sulk in a 4k non-crit.

That’s just my preference though. I do enjoy executioner a lot just not on d/x.
