Venom builds will remain subpar till Devs become serious and do something with them, for example remove venom share and buff all venoms.
But they give no signs of becoming serious about this matter…

They actually stated in the livestream that Venoms “were nearly there” in their current state….soooo no hope for improvement in traits from what I hear :P

I just don’t like how you pop a venom, and then immediately use it up and have to wait 45 seconds or w/e for it to CD. I feel like I cannot actively use them that way, as they are always on CD. The only one I used was the poison based venom, and that was strictly to protect bleeds… I still found it underwhelming.

A venom should work like a mantra: you pre-cast it, then you can apply it to your next attack manually a certain number of times before it goes on cooldown.
@reikken, this is not a solo roaming build,you’ll be in a zerg/group of people, stuns wont be as scary, and if you’re chained/entangle or w.e it’s called you can sb #5 skill to get out of the area. 13khp is fine with the armor and the regeneration you’ll be getting. if you can’t see all the regen you get then you didnt even take a look at the traits.
@Dagins and what if they are subpar/not meta? that doesn’t that mean we can’t take them. this is a support build and it will do fine in group/zergs.
@epandrsn 36s if you have quick venoms, i normalls find myself using them 1-2 times in a 1v1 with my other build.

Support build would give tons of boons and combo fields to allies, CC, or shields to protect them from taking damage. Venom share is not a support build, it just gives nothing. You contribute your team much better by going full glass for damage, and shadow refuge for some support.
Really, I would love to see some venom build working, but it doesn’t even work on paper…
#dagins taking venomshare and using it with heal skill/venoms gives your teamates healing, and gives them extra damage. don’t tell me it doesn’t do anything just because it’s not full glass cannon w/ shadow refuge, thanks
Healing comes from perma regeneration with water fields and blast finishers landed on them, and damage comes from fury with might on demand some other classes possess.
These 45 sec cooldown venoms gives almost no damage (you want to stack 3 minute poison on some random trash mob?), utility (including healing) is laughable, and you have no ways to protect yourself from taking damage.
Also, you waste an utility slot for an ability giving you 3 sec chilled (assuming it hits with all charges, it could be also totally wasted if enemy farts) on 36 sec cooldown, giving you literally nothing – are you serious?

@aLovedhater, happy to see someone else doing a venomshare build. feels good not to be the only one, but on dec 10th as it is now, assassin’s reward is getting moved up a tier so you’ll need to put 30points in acrobats to use it.
So no condi clear with only 13k hp is going to melt at the first zerg you run across. You might consider investing more in health than in armor. Regen from your team and slowed pulse is fine, but it’ll really only cancel a couple of bleeds out. as MyCondolences mentioned, Assassin’s reward is getting moved up, so you might take Pain response instead as it will get you past 1 necro burst so you can move from the front-middle-ish to the back of the zerg while it’s on CD.
Edit: Also if your reflexes /internet speed is up to it you might go P/D + SB, steal in and IA out to put a little more pressure on your opponents since P/P will be pretty weak from a condition standpoint.

to make this work they need to replace all venoms with new skills and put the venoms on f2 f3 f4. this is only way traits will work with the 2 most important RV/VA in grandmaster tier.
the only other option is to drop them down to 25 CD and makethem stronger with passive effects.
without one of these 2 options its not a build worth playing. No matter what kind of gear or weapons you run its going to be a “pop venoms and wait kitten or 36s for them to recharge” …. u will be doing very little other than auto attack or maybe some cluster bombs between popping venoms.
you cant even fit improvisation into this build….and its begging to be put in. what would u sacrifice for it? the 20% reduce on venoms trait? the +1 strike per venom trait? pfft yeah.
I think most of you guys/girls are looking at the bad things, not the good things.
