lets get this part out of the way first ive played thief most of my 8,120 odd hours in gw2 and in pvp i rank around plat/legendary with rank 1870 in wvw. so i should have some sort of insight into deadeye, daredevil and core thief

in pvp/wvw (berserk amy and scholar using the crit line)

1. i think the current speed malice stacks when not attacking/invis is spot on you should not be rewarded for hiding. in fact nerf if needed

2. atm theirs only a short window from getting full stacks and the mark reseting. so you end up spending most of your time hiding getting hits in to build stacks hiding some more then bursting which is not fun for ever side. three possible solutions

(1) increase malice stack gain when landing hits this will force thiefs to fight more and hide less
(2) increase the duration of the mark and leave the stack speed as is
(3) if you remark the same target you already have stacks on you keep your stacks (hell make this a grandmaster trait)

3. i found myself using Three Round Burst as my main source of damage (i dont like this as it felt like p/p 3 spam) i only ever used Death’s Judgment to finish a downed player for three reasons
(1) Three Round Burst hits for around 5k without malice for 4 initiative and can be spammed
(2) Death’s Judgment has a massive tell/cast time and at best the damage without malice is around 6k for 6 initiative
(3) normally your target will be downed by spam before you can get full stacks which is when Death’s Judgment’s damage becomes useful

my personal solution to these problems
reward players who fight and not the players who hide and spam by

1. increase malice stack gain speed when you hit a target
2. look into a trait that lets you keep your stacks when marking the same target
3. increase the initiative cost of three round burst by 1
