Most agree that the thief profession is in a rather bad place at the moment so i thought we could suggest some none OP changes that might help since we’re the players that use the class day in day out.
Below is my contribution but feel free to add your own just make sure they aren’t overpowered or unrealistic.

1) Make Flanking Strike unblock-able – if you require a hit with flanking strike to unlock the unblock-able attack Larcenous Strike then make flanking strike unblock-able too. This would still negate precasting it to unlock larcenous strike but solve the silly situation where we have an unblock-able attack hidden behind a blockable one.
OR
Revert Larcenous strike to removing 2 boons since its much more difficult to land

2) Make stealing grant stealth without the Hidden Thief trait and change Hidden thief to ‘Going into stealth blocks projectiles’

3) Trick shot and cluster bomb revert to 1200m range

4) Add a torment or confusion pulse to Choking gas along with poison.

5) Revealed debuff reduces damage taken by 25%

Damage taken -25% is a bit much for revealed, especially with the damage reduction in stealth GM trait. The hidden thief change is also a bit OP.

Hidden thief is one of my favorite traits. Unfortunately there are better SA traits to pick from. Get rid of last refuge and make hidden thief the minor trait i say. >,>

How about they just remove the class and start over, because it seems like they don’t even want people to play thief which is why they are destroying the class patch after patch.

Biggest buff ever – FIX THE BUGS FIRST

1. They could just make blocked hits actually count as hits for the purpose of making LS available, while preventing us from pre-casting LS.

2. What if I don’t always want stealth on steal. Stealth blocking projectiles, just rofl, rangers RF’ing thieves today so why not make their whole weapon set completely useless with spammable stealth.

3. Would love this but I doubt it will happen ever.

4. I’d prefer weakness since I play power builds but I don’t mind anything cos I’d still use bow 4 for the poison anyway.

5. The whole reveal issue would be solved if Anet separated actual reveal from losing invisibility, ie, thief deals dmg from stealth so he gets revealed with same effects as now. The current reveal skills rangers/engies have would apply “visibility debuff” which wouldn’t remove any stealth associated effects from thief (condi cleanse, stealth weapon skills, heals etc). Even if the duration on those skills would be increased, it wouldn’t be such a hard counter to thief as it is now and it would give other classes the tools to deal with what they QQ so much about, not seeing an enemy.

Someone should fire all the pvp balancing team

Thief might not be as strong as last year
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!
