I would say so…. would be crapload of staff thieves running around then probably and would be slower on decaps. Which will result in more bound/staff nerfs, thieves resorting to condi, everyone crying about condi thus Anet nerfing condi as well. I mean it is always the same really.

Bound is light years worse than UC

The fact it’s damage was already nerfed in PvP without it being meta speaks volumes on how carry it was

To be fair, you would still have more mobility with bound than core thief…. and since only reason why you want thief is for roaming role (=mobility + dmg), dd would be still miles better than core.
That being said UC nerf would be real problem if you look at how much mobility other classes got. Even with UC + sb you can’t outrun druid defending far while camping mid all match thus preventing you from decaps on some maps (Foefire anyone?). If you play core, it becomes even more painfully obvious how much mobility + chills/cripples other classes actually have and how much harder it becomes to roam on a thief in such situation.

I have a dream where all 5 devs would be stuck on core thief and attempt to win match vs 5 classes with HoT specs just so they get idea what they have done to this game.

I do want HoT specs getting nerfed to the point where core becomes a viable alternative but it has to apply to all specs not just one class otherwise we would just have s1 all over again.

balance is based on elites now and not core it’s time to give up the core fight

Not saying I agree…..just saying this is how it is now so you have to look at it as a whole. You balance the game accordingly
